i love it when Broadway musicals turn into movies. it's more convenient than trying to go to a Broadway show, especially if you don't live in New York. just watch the movie at the theaters, right in the comfort of your theaters! or streaming! also, Broadway musicals being normally experience in-person is good, but sometimes, you just need convenience.

And this is an interesting one as it's based on the 2007 film starring Keri Russell.

Growing up my main thought was how unfair it was that I couldn’t see musicals unless I saw them in person.
So anytime it’s recorded on the stage for at home I really appreciate it!
Will be going to see this despite never seeing the movie. This will be my first experience with the story(not some of the music though, I LOVE When He See’s Me and What Baking Can Do)

Imagine if the current London production of Les Miséreables could also be filmed at the Sondheim theatre and either play in movie theatres or be available on streaming services like Disney+.

      Yes, this.
I'm tired of them putting on a concert. It needs to be filmed while a production is being put on.

I saw the musical when it came to Detroit, but Sara wasn't in this cast.
I had won the tickets from a local radio station and the seats were in a decent location. I asked a friend to go but she said no so I asked one of my nieces. She was hesitant because she wasn't sure if she'd like it, but she went. Both of us were laughing, and she even said, "The next time you win tickets, I want to go!"
I'd recommend going especially because Sara is in the movie adaptation reprising her Broadway role, it should be even better!

It happens! "The Producers" comes to mind, and that was a full film production, rather than a filmed live production.
