I am doing Taekwondo for 20 Years now, i am 27,
TBH i hate if people say nose stratching effort skills.
No it doesnt, if you do it for such an amount of time its normal to be flexible like that.
The real skill is to be fast BUT yet to kick semi hard aswell, doing high kicks with power, having a good hip rotation even when try to hit hard, doing good combos.. but not that..
it is ridiculous to kick higher than your height. for a performance, yes it's look nice. but in real fight it is not helpful.

I used to practice taekwondo. But I realized it was a joke and took up real combat martial arts. BJJ,kick boxing and boxing.
You mean you left martial arts for sports
It look cool but it isn't practical.
Muay thai too but taekwondo is no martial arts like every time i spar vs a taekwondo fighter hes like shocked cause my punches come and he cant take his guard in time.
Taekwondo is no martial art from my perspective.

The flexibility was amazing for all of them, and two or three had good power and speed as well.
Pretty good moves but... they focus on leg kicks too much. I can take them down very easy. If i am bad guy. I would simple grab their legs get them down on ground very fast very quick. This make much easyer for bad guy take girls down. If they tries use kick too much. Best way is use punchs much as possibles till man starting cofused weak. Than use kicks last! To ko. Would be perfect. I wish i could training them in better way. But. Their moves pretty good! Good job girls! They just need to remind. Men is big boys. Not that easy to take them down with just a kicks. My options is that grabs moves is best way for girls. Teach them trick moves so men cannot able moves they can able contorl men body easy. Excellent chambering of the kicks in most, great flexibility, but as a black belt in taekwondo I have to say, this tap tap bollucks is more annoying than painful and can be seen coming miles away.
It's more a demonstration of leg stength than anything else. A real fighter would never hold their leg up in the air that long.

@@periechontology More like an educated assumption maybe? I boxed for 14 years, have a black belt in judo and purple in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
Boxing on it's own is pretty useless as it only incorporates punches so it would be ineffective against, say, a muay thai fighter that utilized knees, shins, elbows, and hands. So from what I've seen with Tkd, they fight a lot with their hands down. That's not smart and even you cant deny that. Adaptability in fighting is key and fighting with your hands down is plain stupid as there will ALWAYS be someone who can take advantage of that. That's just my 2 cents, not like my opinion matters on the internet anyway

all of those kicks felt weak and the only useful kicks that i have learnt so far in karate is roundhouse front kick and spinning back kick and i have been doing it for 3 years. a roundhouse to the liver hurts like dick
That’s the truth, the average man can beat a girl who knows a thing or two in self defense, some even have weapons.
Practice elbows and knees for in close too. Definitely gives her a better chance than your average girl. Plenty of blokes couldn't knock the skin off a rice pudding these days and they'd rather pick on someone who won't even try to defend

I love the art and athleticism the flexibility it takes to throw these kicks. BUT 95% of the kicks shown here had no power or speed. And God forbid they have to defend there self because they will be laughed at then hurt. So learn to apply snap and speed and power throw away the flutter kicks they are absolutely useless...

In real fight it has no advantage.
Real fight is MMA
If you train your legs like how you train your punches you can use taekwondo lol, though those high kick won't be of much use unless your opponent is groggy and can't defend in time, id stick to low and medium kicks and bjj with some boxjng

Some good balance on show, but that's about it. Practically no force or power was applied to most of those kicks -- especially the 1:15 one, which was all balance...and that's it
Wait until they get to my age and have knee pain.
Taekwondo is not weak in a real fight, but weak because of the rules of Taekwondo.
For example, even though there is a hand break, it is not seen at all in the game. It should be improved.
Teakwondo is great with brawling. Combine street skills with the simple powerful kicks and you'l do good
