    Very helpful content, most other doctors dont explain that other checks should be done for underlying issues. Thanks

    Are there any clinicians that you have worked with and would recommend in the New York area for ankle spider veins?

      Thank you for reaching out.
      I don't have a contact in NY. However, may I suggest my colleague Dr Chris Pittman. www.youtube.com/@Vein911
      He is based in Florida but he is extremely well connected with vein specialists in the USA. He may know someone who can help you.
      Good luck.

    I am developing this now. I also have tons of varicose veins. My sis has it too on legs and use to have it on face. I also have yucky ugly stretch marks at the back of legs due to the tare when my leg grew so huge. I think it can be genetics and also working hard, doing lots of things, walking so much.

      It depends. If spiders veins are very pronounced and clustered around the ankle, you may wish to seek advice from a healthcare professional.

    Are ankle and spider veins considered corona phelbectaia? Im so confused on true definition. And why was it c1 now c4? So treatment on gsv reflux will kit fix it? It would need scerlotherapy? Which can make it worse? I can't do a procedure right now. I runa business restaurant. Cant be out any days. I was already to a vascular surgeon. reflux in gsv. I do wear compression every day. But on Wikipedia theres 3 main components to corona. But different surgeons say any spider veins?

      Corona Phlebectatica is a condition characterised by spider veins and blue veins below the boney prominences of the ankle and which extend in to the foot. There must be skin changes called stasis spots. If you have GSV reflux, it is very likely that you have C4 disease. CP is a predictor of progression to an ulcer C5. Please discuss this with your own doctor.

    Highly interesting stuff, and it was excellent that you stressed that superficial veins may be the sign of a deeper problem. Polydocanol foam sclerotherapy appears to have the best outcomes for the very minor surface veins, and is also an effective occluder of the smaller perforators too. There are a few good papers suggesting that it's excellence may arise from its local mechanical occlusion, resulting in endovascular damage well beyond the endothelium, resulting is a more pronounced local inflammatory response leading to greater local scarring (and so more complete occlusion, seen as a far lower long-term revascularisation rate).

    Spider veins is it dangerous

    • @VeinCareAcademy
      @VeinCareAcademy  4 месяца назад

      In general the answer is NO. Except those around the ankle. These ankle spider veins are not dangerous, but their presence may indicate an underlying vein issue that warrants further investigation.
