- In late March, SAS announced that it was suddenly grounding multiple A320neos due to the quote "need to inspect a component." As a result, 18 of the airline's aircraft were removed from service to allow inspections of a component known as the pressure regulator transmitter. Thus, while it sounds alarming that a large portion of A320neos had to be grounded, the reasoning is rather underwhelming…

SAS did not do checks within time. It is not AIRBUS fault. SEEMS SAS needs be more stringent on service interval and checks.
The interval check date was written wrong in the check system.
@@antonkristiansen673 NOT professional, safety issue is must. BAD FOR SAS airlines
So, did SAS mess up? It sounds very much like they did.
Every aircraft needs regular inspection of its components (like engines), it is part of the maintenance; safety rules
Glad it was the cabin pressure regulator instead of the barking dog that was sick 🙂 The health of that faithful dog that barks whenever engines are started is very important!
(PTU which is hydraulic pressure trabsfer pump).
I think they are all back in service.
Ok… if you don’t have any other comments
Click bait headline, underwhelming explanation. SAS hadn't done mandatory maintenance checks
Was there compensation for delaying/cancelling flights? If so, was the amount adequate?
SAS what have you been doing?
Nothing!
Literally.
Well, I would rather have the company lose money delaying flight and grounding planes than losing lives, so I guess everything is ok?
If it would be 18 Boeing 737 max it wouldnt be underwhelming at all, even if it would be the exact same reason why they were grounded... Thats how the media has taken everything out of proportion ppl.
They don't care. It's all about the drama for these people.
Yes, it's all about the Story. Sensationalist Journalism.
It’s a shame how today’s media is portraying the 737
Why are some of these registered in Ireland?
Leased most likely…
leased. One of the worlds biggest plane leasing firms is located there.
The same reason why like the whole ITA Airways fleet is registered in Ireland aswell.
@@EuropeanRailfanAlt which is? They want to pay Irish Taxes? It's nothing to do with leasing.
Covering for Airbus.
couldn't they safely fly at 8,000'?
Clickbait!!!
Would the reason be underwhelming if it was the 737?
It is about the airline maintenance or lack of it. Not the airplane.
yes, it would
Thats the same for most of the boeing incidents lately.@@danharold3087
No way! I thought they are perfect, just like God made them!
Airbus jets are still man-made, keep that in mind.
it looks underwhelming because the 737 max exists
Nah, it's underwhelming on it's own merits.
Yeah. No. That ain't it, stud. It's underwhelming all on its own.
@@outermarker5801An airline missing maintenance checks isn't great and could definitely be news on its own. It's definitely no door plug falling out, though
SAS is doing cost cutting, seems it's CEO did tour of Ukraine!
Man I hate the mascara every livery has now.
Ok… if you don’t have any other comments
I like it, helps distinguish Neo aircraft from older Ceo
@@herceg6772 please. That's extremely tame compared to the comments left on these videos. Trying telling THEM what you just said instead.
airbus fan-gals channel is trying to cover up😅😅😅😅
Surprised you support Boeing and are still alive!
