    As I had expected, this video got one of the key elements of Malcolm’s philosophy wrong and doesn’t mention why believed it; Malcolm didn’t teach black supremecy, he believed that the black man could do more than he was told and that they didn’t need to rely on the white man for it. At the time the black man in America was devoid of any dreams of even simply becoming a lawyer or a doctor; One of Malcolm’s teachers even discouraged him from it. The white man treated the black man like a slave since the best job the black man would or could get was as some type of assistant. Teaching a black man to stand up and fight for his dignity is NOT black supremacy.

    Yes, Malcolm X was a black-power proponent, but by the time he died, he simply wanted equality and peace between the races of the world and regretted his previous beliefs.

    • @hasanx4637
      @hasanx4637 6 лет назад +20

      Malcolm X was always a proponent of equality and peace and black power. He regretted his petty behaviour in the NOI rift, but never stopped or regretted working for black people. He was preaching "black power" when he was killed. Black people cannot not allow others to mis-characterize our history.

      He always wanted justice and peace for all. But don't think for a minute that he changed his political stances. He still believed in separation and actually became more staunchly for pan-Africanism and trying to remove us from the US and the West. He and another African brother, a community leader as well who's name slips my mind, were coordinating with African leaders to facilitate the rehabilitation of the culturally and psychologically damaged American black population and help return us to Africa.
      Both men were assassinated within the same week to 2 week span. This gov't killed MLK for similar reasons. He began to regret his decision to integrate and began promoting black people separating from the US and building for ourselves.
      Don't believe me. Their speeches and interviews are all on here for viewing. A rule to remember, if you care about the truth of a matter, never believe the killer, or even just a suspected killer, of a person (especially a leader, and a controversial) one) or organization. Always look to find out what they said and stood for our of their own mouths.
      The only thing that he changed on was his belief that the NOI was the answer for black people's problems and that all white people were against black people. All white people aren't, but their societies at large are.

      @@J-Hue I don't think he would want separation after his pilgrimage. About which he made friends with some white people and apologized to making generalizations and the disrespect to whites who didn't deserve it. But, he did start belief in Black Nationalism, and believed in a cultural migration to Africa, not exactly physical. He stopped believing that all whites were evil, because he new such generalizations weren't true. That's when he said that, I quote "I am not a racist. I am against every form of racism and segregation, every form of discrimination. I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color." -Brother Minsiter Malcolm X

      @@tre3917 Actually, Malcolm's view on Black Nationalism did indeed change after his pilgrimage...but here's the real sad part: We don't know WHAT he was going to say in that speech on that fateful day when he was killed. I will agree that he would continue to be of support for the Black communities all over America; because they needed that support, and I believe he was willing to work with anybody who was just as willing to support his cause.

      Angel Jackson You don't have to be a chef to come to the conclusion that a meal sucks. I don't have to be able to rap in order for him to come to the conclusion that he's a terrible rapper.
      thuglifezeem716 He wasn't more than just a rapper, he was just a wannabe "thug-life with a heart", but the problem is that:
      1. He wasn't a thug, he lived a normal life, he wanted to be an actor.
      2. He raps about bitches and money, so that makes him a fucking hypocrite.
      His actual rapping is terrible, simply lyricism, simple flow, and the WORST thing is that he has never brought out anything of significance. 2Pac is the most overrated rapper of all time, it is an INSULT to other rappers for this wanker to be mentioned as one of the best of all time. There are over 20 rappers who are easily more talented than 2Pac. Do yourself a fucking favour and start listening to hip-hop.

    The narration was undoubtedly written by a white person. Malcolm X did NOT teach Black supremacy. When he was with the Nation of Islam, he preached against integration because he believed it was the only way for Black people to not get murdered by white people. Thus, he was a Black nationalist, but not a "Black supremacist". He also taught that any man should have the right to defend himself when necessary, ESPECIALLY Black men, but in America, being armed while Black is seen as a threat while white men can carry guns just about anywhere without question. Again, this is not him preaching "Black supremacy", but pleading to the country that something ought to be done about the violence that white people inflict on Black people. At no point did Malcolm X ever teach people to actively seek out violence against white people. He only taught them that they have the right to defend themselves - which is far from "supremacy". Saying that he taught "Black supremacy" is basically Mojo trying to tell us he's just as bad as the KKK.

      He was always peaceful. Name me one time when Malcolm X was violent, even while in the Nation of Islam. He always promoted self-defense from beginning to end. What changed is that after hajj, he no longer made any sweeping indictments against white people, he grew to support interracial marriage and although he thought integration was an impossible dream, he admitted in early 1965 that he did indeed believe in a society where all human beings could live together as one regardless of color. But his talk of armed self-defense against brutality never stopped, nor do I think it should have. It is our God-given right to defend ourselves against oppressors.

He was nonviolent in his actions, compassionate, highly spiritual and a devout Muslim, selfless, and completely dedicated to the cause of liberating nonwhites from mental slavery. His revolution was education. He never promoted violence. He only believed armed resistance should not be ruled out if it is necessary to gain freedom. There really shouldn't be anything controversial about that opinion.

    I dont think calling for self defence, is "violent protest." That the stupidest thing i ever heard. Violence isnt self defence, violence is when you launch an offensive on people who are no threat to you, like the U.S. did in vietnam, Iraq, the Congo, Afghanistan, Cambodia and japan just to name a few.
