I understand the frustration of some of your other Subscribers who are venting on here. You seem to have left out some of your instructions that you were displaying on the screen. 😮 🫥🙄🥸
Fifty years ago my grandmother,👵❤ who was born way back in 1907, she taught me how crochet and tat lace in 1972 when I was 7 years old. 👧🏼
I still have some of her creations here in my home in West Virginia. I treat them with the highest regard. I have a table cloth that she made that I only use for Thanksgiving 🦃and Christmas.🌲🎅 🤶🧑🎄

I absolutely loved crocheting this pattern of yours "Shells and Swirls Doiley" I didn't realise it was a placemat size though and was wanting to use it on my mums bed side table. How can I make this pattern a bit larger in diameter so that I can use it for that. I want it to be about 45-50cm in diameter. Is there more rounds I can add or ? Any tips would be grately appreciated largely. Sincerly Grace O

I'm sitting here trying to do it with you, and on row 3, you don't write out the instructions! Repeat WHAT 11 times?? Now I've got to rip out what I've done, and go find a pattern that's written. So disappointed.
ETA: I've been making a set of round crochet placemats, each with a different color and pattern--each roughly 12 rows. I've increased my skill level on the increases, and how these progress. I still want to do this pattern, so I'm going to give it another try, now that I can see how it increases by one DC every row, and always skips the first stitch to create a swirl. I've also learned that if the first stitches in the videos aren't clear--due to the chains and sl,st--it's usually easier to follow on the second grouping. I've also loosened up on my chains, so it's easier to join in the chains. I could also downsize my hook to make it easier.
Thank you for your tutorials.
I was able to do it perfectly but it may be easier for you if you just watch what she does in the video step by step instead of reading the instructions just be patient! you can do it! 😊
