I've never met or heard from anyone who was originally Delena and switched. Was there anything that you can remember specifically changed your mind?
Kayce Levy I actually changed my mind as well! I always thought Stefan and Elena were cute and I liked them but there was something about Damon and Elena that was special during the first seasons. There was a certain tension that appealed to me but when they got together that tension didn't turn into true love like Elena and Stefan had. I just feel like Damon and Elena's relationship is more about lust and I'm not saying it's not true love but it's just different and less pure than Stefan and Elena's. I could really see Stefan and Elena growing old together. They will always love each other and that's why I switched. Plus after watching the whole series multiple times again I realized even more that Stefan and Elena's love was just epic and the moments they had together were way more special and romantic than the delena moment imo :)

I blame the writers and the crazy delena shippers. Not all of them are bad just ran into a few in the comment section acting like they are going to war.
They had so much chemistry every time they looked at each other it made me believe they loved each other but it was never like that with delena it was just lust with them

Julie Plec admitted that it would have taken them years and seasons to rip Elena away from Stefan so they rushed it :(
Stupid, lazy and unimaginative writers. Separating Elana and Stephan was a horrible decision. The show lost something after they wrote that into the show.
THE BEST STELENA VIDEO EVER XD
Basically she needed Stefan to get her through the intro to life with and as a vampire. He completed her emotional needs, then when she had to go through her "explore life" phase, like all of us girls do, she wanted to be with the dangerous choice. We've all been there or will be there. That's a phase. After all the excitement and sex is done with, everyone always realizes what's most important, and that's the person that makes you feel at home...
You were wrong because she still wanted Damon even after she took the cure and became human again. I know it's hard for some people to stomach but I think season 6 proved she doesn't just want Damon because he's the dangerous choice and because she craves danger as a vampire because if she did then she'd push him away when she's human again and want the "safe" option again which she didn't. It's obviously not just a phase because she blatantly said she saw a future with him.
Also she basically called Damon the love of her life in her last episode which means it isn't a phase. She does love him. She's seen how it is with the safe choice and seen how it is wih the dangerous choice and when all is said and done, at the end of the day she still wants Damon despite knowing everything and no one can ignore that. Btw I'm not a Delena fan or Stelena but you can't put what she feels for Damon down as a phase that she'll grow out of when everything on screen especially in season 6 says otherwise.
+xnuhxhuhx It's pretty obvious that the writers chose for Delena because Delena has the popular vote. If they would've written Elena true to her character, it would've gone differently.

Damon and Elena's relationship is based on seduction, lust and sex but Stefan and Elena's relationship was based on love,compassion,passion and TRUE LOVE which is why now with Damon and Elena together i find the show dull and boring. They need to bring back STELENA ♥

I think you haven't understood what tvd is about.
Everyone wants Damon with Elena because he isn't the easier choice. Everyone wants Damon with Elena because their love started while she was Stefan's girlfriend, while she shouldn't fall in love with him, while she didn't want to admit that what she felt for him was LOVE. Elena's feelings for Damon changed a lot during the seasons. Even if she thought that she hated him, even if he hurt her, she always forgive him. Maybe you are right, Elena is a slut, but that doesn't change the fact that as she loved stefan (because even if i am Delena, i am mature enought to admit it) now she loves Damon.
Laura Lonoce I'm not quite sure if that's what she thinks she feels for damon can be considered as love. Everything people say about her and damons relationship (lust, sex, excitement) in comparison to the one she had with stefan (emotional completion, respect, home) has been mirrored in the latest episodes, especially in her dreams. She dreamt of having family and being married to stefan, while she dreams of having sex at school with damon. I guess you can see from here what I mean.
mvah07 The differences between her dreams about Damon and her dreams about Stefan are that she didn't want to dream about Stefan, those were allucination. If you think about it, the only dream that Elena had about Stefan ended up with her seeing Damon's face. But this is not the point. I think that what Damon and Elena have isn't just sex because it has been build during the seasons. At the beginning of the show She hated him a lot but when he show to her what he really was she started to think about him in a different way, even if she was still in love with Stefan. Their love grow up while she was with Stefan, but she didn't want to admit it. Idon't know if you start to see season 6, because episode 3 of this season can really describe want i'am trying to explain. She finally admit that she figure out that she loved him in her 18 bithday. yes, they have passion and they have sex, but what does it mean? That she doesn't love him? Because in relationships Passion and sex are important.
Laura Lonoce There is no doubt she loves damon, I said I am not sure if that's what you define as true and pure love though. True and pure love is what not only sacrificing all your needs and values and everything for the other person but it's about how you influence eachother and HOW you want to influence the other person. She definetely "loves" Damon but it's toxic and now way as pure as her love for stefan WAS (obviously not anymore). As much as I love damon on his own he ruined her character, her values and everything she believed in. I know people use the excuse of "stefan looking at her like a broken toy" but he only tried to make her stay true to the person she SAID on her own she wanted to be even when she starts losing herself. Everytime there was something, whether it was a problem in her relationship with Damon or when she lost herself stefan has always been the only person (besides jeremy) who was able to reach her.
This song definitely fits them better. Doesn't it? 😍😍😍

I love how the scenes fit with the words in some parts, it was so complete! For me Stelena will always be one and only but you can't do anything with what the writters will decide...

Even though I ship Delena with all my heart, there is still something so innocent and pure about Stelena, that it breaks my heart. I don't hate Stefan, I think he's kind off amazing, he's lost so much and he can still be happy for his brother.
