As someone wanting to open a florist shop in Dubai, the biggest question is whether to rent a retail shop or a space much cheaper in an industrial area from which I would do operations. Lots to think about, but thanks to your videos, I have a much clearer idea now ))
There is no wrong or right answer, both options have the potential to be good options. It really depends on what you want and what best suits your situation. I would suggest grabbing a pen and putting all your thoughts about each option down on paper. List the "Whys" and the "Why Nots". Ask yourself... what is your dream florist business? Where do you see your business in 5-10 years and make your decision based on your goals. 🌸

I have no space at all in my home. I live in a 2 bedroom in NYC (literally the smallest apartment in the entire world). How do I even start my business there? I planned to open up a store front only because I need to space. Ughh I need help figuring this out smh🤦🏽♀️

Hi Mandy, everybody's situations are different and if space is something that you don't have then opening a store front may be the best option. However if you can make it work at home and that's where you want to start then that's completely up to you.
I would start by sitting down and putting all your thoughts on paper (because sometimes this allows us to see our vision better). List the pros and cons of both options and your short term/long term goals.

The question is. Must I grow and sell flowers to the market or do I grow and sell in a flower shop or street corner. I don't want to be on a street corner with out a roof over my flowers... do I grow as many different flowers cut and filler , the question is so big..what do I do. ?

On my situation, I dont have good space at home its a problem for me to make social media content and prepare ready made bouquet because no space. I plan to rent a space and my office and work space and at the same time its showcase my products... And not even cost me 100K 😂😂😂
That's great! I've also done a lot of flowering out of a garage and a shed....definitely not glamorous but it was absolutely the right thing for me. We also set up a mini corner near the only window in the space so I could have a photography station (it looked great in photos even if everything around it was a hot mess). 😅
Followed so many of your recommendations and found that this was by far the worst financial year of business for me. Now I am in a conundrum over what I did wrong and even how to move forward.
Way increasing my prices Does not seem to be the answer .
It is SO so so easy to get caught up in all the things that went wrong but what about flipping it all around. What if you started with What went WELL in 2022? What IS working? And then build on that momentum. 🙃
I want to have a flower shop that focuses on silk flowers only. There is a successful floral designer in our area that has real flowers. I live in rural WI. Would your academy help me as a silk flower designer?

How do you know that there will be many more florists in 2023, its not a necessity and unsure why there would be lots more new florist businesses! would love to know though, thank you

@@tinabyram3617 Mine too, the expenses of running a retail business now, often family or solely owned and having to pay all other living expenses, I think the growers need to revisit their prices because with so many shops closing down now, their business will dwindle too! such a shame, the cost of living, the big boys will still be up there!
