      I used mine as a coster much longer than I care to admit! I do recommend at least cracking it open for some calculations. Give yourself a little reward once you finally start studying-that's the hardest part!

    This video came at the perfect time! I’ve been done with rotations for several weeks now but still haven’t been able to sit down and study for either exam. I take my MPJE June 11, move to the city where my residency is June 13, and take my NAPLEX June 24. These tips were great! Lots of studying ahead for me 😅

    Good Evening everyone!
    I have a quick question. If someone does not pass the NAPLEX after the 5th try, what does the nabp require them to do in order to get the opportunity to retake the exam? Would they allow for just 1 more chance afterwards or another set of 5 times?
    I emailed them already but thought I'd ask here as well. Please be respectful about it. If you do not have an answer, thats fine. Just don't belittle.
    Thank you for your time!!

    Hi Sierra thank you so much for your videos, very helpful. I have a couple of questions for you:
    - do you apply for both exams Naplex and Mpje at the same time? Or can you do one after passing the other? And what is the time frame to get your application accepted?
    - Can you pass these exams without starting internship? And what are your tips for internship?

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  3 года назад

      You can apply for both at the same time or separate. You can schedule them on the same day but I recommend doing them on different days. The timeframe to get authorization to test will vary greatly by school and state. It could be a few days or up to a couple of months. I'm not sure what you mean by internship. You take these exams after completion of your pharmd. You must be graduated in order to take these exams

    Did you think the RXprep calculations in the book vs test bank were helpful ? You said the rxprep test bank was harder.. would you say the same for their calculations? Any tips on mastering calculations. Thanks for the video

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  4 года назад +2

      My biggest tip for calculations is to do practice problems every single day and keep doing practice problems every day. I recommend using a cheap handheld calculator like you have on the exam. The RxPrep questions were all I used to study calculations and I didn't feel bad about a single calculations question on the exam! It was super helpful. I think RxPrep questions were slightly harder for calculations vs the actual exam but not much harder.

    Hi thank you for the video. Where are the objectives? I actually have the same book like you 2019 so can just give me a page number. Thank you

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  3 года назад

      The objectives are not in the RxPrep book as they are not the writers of the exam. The competency statements are on the NABP website. I also would not recommend the 2019 book for the 2021 exam. Several major disease states have had changes in guidelines since then.

    we dont know what score we need to pass?? I don't know if I should be encouraged or scared by this lmao

    • @HappyPharmLife

      The score you need is available. But what that number actually means is confusing. It's a scaled score not a percentage correct because each question is worth a different amount

      @@HappyPharmLife Thanks. Im studying to take the exam soon. We don't care about brand names here in the UK - how much of a problem is that gonna be for me?

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  2 года назад

      A very big problem. Knowing the brand/generic is necessary for the NAPLEX. I would start studying by learning the brand and generic for the top 200 drugs.

      @@HappyPharmLife I spent about 5 hours today reading the top 200 section in the Rxprep and took some tests. Im confident I'll nail that part of the exam now tbh. I understand I'll need to spend a year and a half in pre-registration training - is it easy enough to do the complete training in hospital? It would be more enjoyable for me since I've spent 5 years in hospital pharmacy in England. Im sorry Im bombarding you with qs. If you'd prefer I can contact you via email

      I'm honestly not sure how to do this training. I've never worked with anyone going through it at any of the hospitals I've worked at.

    Quick question, other than calculations chapter on an average how many questions can be expected from other disease chapters?

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  4 года назад +1

      It's completely random so there is no way to tell.

      Did you find more questions from oncology and HIV? Or is it equal from all chapters?

    • @HappyPharmLife
      @HappyPharmLife  4 года назад

      Because of the confidentiality agreement you sign when taking the NAPLEX I am unable to answer that question. Also, I would not focus on that when studying. Focus on getting a general understanding of all disease states.
