True, but I still think TV-PG would’ve been a better rating. Teen Titans Go is TV-PG, so I don’t see why not. Of course I mean the more kid friendly side of TV-PG, and not Simpson’s or King of the Hill TV-PG. Those would fall more into the TV-PG-DLSV/TV-14 category.

I'm 99% certain the only reason Gravity Falls wasn't rated higher was because A) admittedly, the horror moments were relatively few (though densely packed) and B) it was a cartoon. If It had been live-action, Season 2 would've fallen squarely into TV MA. (Though I'm glad it wasn't. Disturbing as it could get, kids deserved the right to watch this show)

If "Gravity Falls" was too mature for the Disney label, I'd see it by Touchstone. No arguments, but they did the same with 1990's "Dick Tracy" and 1993's "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Both were going to be released by Walt Disney, but it ended up being released by sister company Touchstone due to the mature theme of both movies.
Can somebody explain me this? How does Gravity Falls have the same rating as Darkwing Duck and Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers? All those shows are TV-Y7, but Gravity Falls was more intense than DWD and CNDRR. In any case CNDRR should be TV-Y while DWD keeps it Y7 rating. Gravity Falls on the other hand, could have easily be TV-PG.
