As a constructive comment: every tutorial should start by playing in full what you want to teach... It helps seeing the forest before studying the trees, no to mention the leaves
Russel Biffs that's what I was looking for sad it isn't there
Russel Biffs 1:48 i know i’m late but he does play it through. just because it’s not in the very beginning doesn’t mean it’s there
could not agree more.
and then spell first chords.
i think the guy does a good job of explaining the structure of the chords, he really paints the picture of why the voicings work and from where they are derived. I found it very helpful. Nice thing about these types of patterns is once you understand the structure, you can interpret it however you like and put your original spice on it. May we all Jam on in the Grand Universe!
15:26
I love how you not only show the chord but also explain it
Thanks for going through the inversions of the chords as understanding the 'why' helps with the overall construction. Love how while you are teaching some theory you also remind us of simple movements that allow easy transitions. Stevie's stuff always sounds hard until you realize that his voicings are so close and often just changing the bass notes already gets you so close.
Amaj9, G#7(b9), C#m9, F9, Bsus, E.
Hope that helps! Cheers.
It's quite simple. But that bass line haha. My left hand just won't cooperate XD
You are great. Don’t stop doing tutorials. You are by far the most effective with the visuals and step by step
Can’t beleive all the complaints about his explaination. I don’t know for me I am so glad to have the theory explained, I know I can soak up use all that information for making my own music. This isn’t a short cut to just play something verbatim, it’s a bunch of tools. I don’t feel any of the talk was surplus but infact very empathetic towards the developing player (or should I say musician, which this is more aimed at). I think it’s a bit impatient to consider this “too much talk”, listening to and understanding these explanations will save us time in the future.
Thanks man. I have already mastered it. I'll definitely learn more from you.
EXCELLENT videos and very well explanation...I love piano couture!!! THANKS a lot from Argentina!
Man, you rule.
I'm learning to play - and you can't imagine how much helpfull you are.
Congrats from Portugal!
Thank you so much brother. Your love for music comes through. Beautiful energy. Blessings
I don't understand why so many ppl are complaining abt how long-winded it is??? Instead I feel he explained it pretty well and IN-DEPTH. Thank you for the tutorial!! I loved it
Fun fact: the "sus" is short for "suspended" (people mistakenly think it's 'sustained'), because the fourth or the second is just hangin' in between the other notes in the triad.
Jazz theory is riddled with fun patterns
The term "sus" actually means suspicious
"sus" is actually short for "sushi".
it actually stands for dyslexic
Great tutorial. I have been practicing the song for a while and this is useful. Keep it up
Thank you
Excellent video and I really appreciate the explanations of chord voicing, thanks a lot
You're so kind.
I understand. Thank you. Older brother
N.1 the best teacher in the world♥️♥️♥️👋
You're probably right :).. I'll add it to the to do list. Thanks for your comment.
It took me an hour - but I think I've finally got it! SUPER!
Only just found this and started learning your chord shapes - many thanks I love this song
This tutorial is better than most. I feel the cadence and motif is very close if not spot on to the record. We'll done sir.
Very , very very good!
you might already know this but you're the best
It is really easier than to read partitions... Thank you for your help
Thank you so much. I like this song. 👌
Thank you so much!! I study music but I'm way behind in playing skills, and I have like next to zero knowledge of jazz music and how it works and all. Your explanation just made me actually start to understand some of the things that go on in this type of music. For the first time ever now i have hope to be able to do some basic jazzy things in the future!! Lol
Just wanted to balance out a lot of the more negative comments by saying that this was a very thorough tutorial that was well done. There were certainly parts that could have been more concise, but overall I still liked the lesson. Keep up the good work!
Awesome job playing and teaching!!! Thanks
Thank you so much! One of the best piano tutorials I've seen (:
Love your piano instructional tutorials.
I love this song and vidio!!
I'm not good at english, but I can understand what you said.
your class helps me a lot!thank you!!
In this video I could prictice piano and English. :D
You're welcome!
you are Amazing , your tutorials are very easy and more useful.. thank you so much brother
Great lesson my brother. I love those chord arrangements . I write original music and learning other people's works makes it that much easier for me when I am looking for that right combinations of chords.
I MANAGED TO LEARN IT! THANKS!
Very cool and you were probably meaning to say he doesn't play a particular pattern over and over with his left hand but rather mixes it up as all the pros do... they rarely play the exact thing twice. The good news is one can see what works for them; why follow exactly what Stevie does? Having said that, I liked trying them out though as there is always room to attach another car to the train of riffs and knowledge. Happy to have stumbled upon your video. Well done and thanks!
Esse é um grande professor fera
excellent tutorial
thank you very much for taking your time!
Lovely
Everyone who's complaining about the explanation... you don't realize he's teaching a lot about harmony, which in makes you understand better the flow of the song and the voicings in order to know why are they there
Brilliant lesson!
Thank you tree
Great cover, awesome visuals

THANKS!! VERY MUCH NOW M ALWAYS INDOORS BECAUSE OF YOU MY FRIEND
you're welcome!
Thanks man
This is really great..thx
Wow, people complain for learning something excellent for free. Shame
TheGift of7TM no people complain because the guy extrapolate way to much , there are 50 other "free lesson" in here supplemented with link to there website where they actually make money other then monetizing there video here . Get it , so the reason we comment ,is because we care about the set teacher for free as you say ? If we didn't care , we would move on to the other 50 free lesson.
Ala wu
Theirs a lot of things u learn online for free this however is explain terribly
Thats what i like next please
lovely lesson!
THANK YOU !I
THIS VIDÉO IS NOT ON YOUR SITE !
PLEASE, could you post the second part ?
Nice one to learn. I just posted my cover of What You Won’t Do For Love using your chords with a few of my own inversions.
Muito bem explicado. Entendi tudo, mesmo sem falar inglês. Obrigada por nos ensinar.
Thanks Great Job!
Great piano tutorial! Can we have the other part!
pleeeeeaaaase... part 2 ^^
Starts at 1:43 for those who are complaining. Lol

thank you!
You're welcome!
PianoCouture Are you going to finish this tutorial that would be awesome!
Great !
TNX
Thank you for the tutorial! I followed your link to look for the sheet, but couldn't find it there. There's mention of a Coutorian (sp?) lounge, but couldn't find a link to get there either.
Great tutorial really teach us a lot for the ones who want to play it. Let me just give you a simple advice: stop saying that this part of the song is really difficult as you mentioned. Teachers have to encourage students to do it not to say that or this thing is difficult. And just one more thing you forgot to show the scale that is done at the end of the song. Steve Wonder did you didnt.... 😀 But anyway your video helps a lot. Congratulations 👍
1:48
thank's a lot man, that's really useful, and i hope that you don't mind too much about all theses guys complaining fro free sharing of knowledge but anyway thank's again :)
Thanks for the tutorial.
Unfortunately the video description is misleading, because there is no further parts of this song on your website. Not even after creating an account.
It would help if you just showed how to play what you’re actually teaching instead of all the extra , at the end the explaination would be helpful but it’s very distracting and confusing. I don’t know what we’re actually playing and what’s just extra
full pattern start : 1:47
How can I geht the following parts of the tutorial ?
@@thomaswallner8203 there is a part 2 video
I think he is Dutch because he said "yeah?" And he said or to "of" which is only in holland people say that. They say "ja(yeah?)" and "of" in holland means "or"
Thomason lu He is Dutch, I can tell by his accent. I'm Dutch too ;D
you're awesome!
Thanks! :)
Great video! What about the bridge though? :)
Plz make a tutorial on the rest of the song
Thank you for this tutorial. I've learnt Isn't She lovely from your video and I've made my own Hammond organ cover, please check it. Stay tuned!
He first touches the keys at 1:48.
So Close by Jon Mclaughlin please
Please do one of Lady gaga's, i promise that you gonna have more folowers if you do that!
He's taking time out of his day to teach you a song YOU don't know how to play for free. If you don't like it then find another video or go pay for the sheet music it's not that hard.
1:48 is when he plays it
I would like to see the verse.
You could do how to play Creepin pleaase..
Great! Are you posting it or you'll send it to me? Thanks!!!
Very nice! But where can I find the second part?
Dude, where can i find the 2nd part ot the tutorial ???

Hello. Thanks a lot for your help. One question, Why the C note (b5) in the F# 13 ?
Love this, nice pace. Just curios about the pedal and when/how you would use that?
