I was lucky to see KC and the Sunshine Band in 1980 with Ricardo, five years after I first heard them. Get Down Tonight was the first song I heard and I was in love with KCSB! We were 10 rows back 3rd seat over and I screamed and raised my hands and he smiled at me and nodded his head. I'll never forget it. This was in the Hampton Coluseum in Virginia
I think the fact that he really seems to enjoy doing what he does is one of the things that makes his music and concerts so great. I am really hoping for a lot more years of seeing him in concert.
A really super dance number. I can remember way back in Srilanka, in 1981 when Guinness athelete Kumar Anandan danced to this song and broke a world record for non stop dancing, at Galle face green.
Boogie Shoes has always been my favorite KC song! Every time I hear I want to boogie! I'm 57 now and things don't work they way they used to but it sure is fun trying to this song!
thank you for posting this video. i've been listening to the songs of this group and all along i thought that the lead singer is black. love their songs. i hope they'll come back to do a concert in canada.
Youngsters be learnin I see. Make it happin yall, make it happin. Bring back the real music. Singin, dancin, good timin Friday night no time for shootin to busy gettin down with the ladies.
Ya know ya'll..when I was rock n rolling back when I was a kid..We used to rag hard on this guy & his style of music..But gotta Say..He's good..Real good..! Still wouldn't buy any of his music..But non the less..He's a very talented man..Jus Thinkin..😀
In disco-era "The Boogie Shoes" were brightly coloured, shiny and pointed type (see Michael Jackson Dancing Shoes in Billie Jean), but the actual walking are done by the feet of the person which are invisible from us, get it!
Has a long history. It was on their second album in 1975 and then was the b side to Shake Shake Shake Shake Your Booty and then was on the Saturday Night Fever Sdtk. So it got around
@rhlpn You see my friend, it is easy to explain things when you can see or visualize them, but this is a subject that involves invisible dimensions that only a few quantum physicists can explain.

Those horn moves are bad ass.
My dad took my brother and I to see this band in the 90's. I was seven, I think, but I remember dancing to it! I love this song.
This goes out to all my friends going to the Valentine's Bash tonight. Looking forward to it my friends. Thanks for hosting Beth!
the trombonists' dance moves are just so excellent, not even to begin to mention the costumes.
Loved these simple fun songs..always the showman.. Harry Wayne Casey, was.

Born in 1994 and even though most of my friends are into rap, hip-hop, and r&b this is the kind of stuff i live. Awesome song :)

Sweet old stuff, born 30 years too late to see the first run. Rock on white boy!
I was a fan and a fan member of this great Band back in the times when us Kids didnt have to worry about shit!

I love to dance to this at weddings. It puts me back to my ol disco days. (Iwonder if I still look the same on the dance floor??)
Muy Buena música de los 70's. Este tipo de música fué la que escuche cuando era pequeño, y con la que crecí.
love this song, reminds me of my disco days at a club called Dialtone, dancing with my wedge heels

Live as in Singing and playing.
He was so thin here, he looks great. Was this before their album came out in 1975?
Don't know, but this is 2024, and he's 73 now. He's quite a bit heavier, but still performing and recording!!
I haven't heard this song in 5 years, I just shimmied like a damn stripper.
In disco-era "The Boogie Shoes" were brightly coloured, shiny and pointed type (see Michael Jackson Dancing Shoes in Billie Jean), but the actual walking are done by the feet of the person which are invisible from us, get it!
Audio needs to be louder, great song
Has a long history. It was on their second album in 1975 and then was the b side to Shake Shake Shake Shake Your Booty and then was on the Saturday Night Fever Sdtk. So it got around
The song was "Take it to the house" by Trick Daddy ft. Trina & some others

It was played on the Saturday Night Fever movie.
