Love this talk- thank you so much for making it available on RUclips! I'm writing a seminar on medicine in the Victorian era and wanted to learn more about Danvers to create a local connection for students in the US. This is perfect!

This was a wonderful presentation! I live not far away and have always been interested in the hospital and wish I had toured the building when that was being offered. When you had a slide up and talked about Session 9 (the one with the building in the back and the chair in the front), you mentioned a movie that was filmed at Danvers State I had never heard of, but I couldn't make out what you were saying....sounded like Pieces of Scary Reason? I'd love to know the correct name of it. Thank you!

Session nine is the best horror movie i have ever seen. The speaker does not understand the meaning of the movie. The ghosts in the movie were ghost of the personalities of a patient with multiple personality disoder. The main ghost was the ghost of the most dangerious personality of the patient. The ghost possed Gorden causing him to kill his wife and child and all his fellow workers. The building itself is scary because it looked like a bat. I believe that it was haunted because of the miss treatment and neglect of mainly of the patients due to overcrowding of the institution.
