First time I heard this track I was smoking a cigarette with my roommate outside the apartment I was staying in when I first moved to LA. There was some party going on up at one of the houses on the hills in Echo Park. I wasn't paying much attention as I heard the beating kick drum, but as these chords slowly rolled in I found it difficult to maintain the conversation with my roommate as I was so enchanted by the beauty of this simple chord movement. After my cigarette I went inside on my laptop and tried to make a song that captured the essence of what I just heard, but it's still on my hard drive as it was just never up to snuff. Today I discovered that this Pepe Bradock track from 1999 is the song I heard, and it's bringing back colorful memories of my feelings moving to this new city. Feelings of wonderment that come from being in a new exciting place where you feel liberated like you can achieve anything. Music is cool

I'm a dad and you made me think of my lovely lad, only 18 but currently 11k miles away in NZ. This might be a bit deep yet but he likes some of the stuff I listen to and I'll get him into this one day. Cheers buddy

Quintessential deep house. At the really good parties, they would throw on something like this at about 2am; when the groove is at it's pinnacle. Usually, by that time, i'm completely in the moment. When that deep shit hits my ears, touches my soul and grabs me by the throat, I would always start to cry; that's when I know I'm having a good time. Fuckin' beautiful

I remember being young maybe 19 and going to a three level club that was wild. Each floor was a different genre it was so hot on the third floor (jungle) so we went outside to cool off. This is in New York so it was freezing but some girl was out there playing this song and it absolutely stole my mind. Myself and a good friend who Is now gone danced and got absolutely lost in this song. I’ve been searching for it ever since. Someone played it recently at a Halloween party now here I am enjoying it like all of you once again
You are in a different level when you listen to this track away from commercialism in a warehouse underground party at 5 am in the morning in downtown. Can't explain the amazing spiritual feeling…
I own this on vinyl and had it the same year it was released. The first time I heard this I was stunned at the simplicity, beautifulness and trance-like nature of this song. I fell in love and named it probably the best deep house track I ever heard. It's now 2022 and I still feel the same way. It doesn't matter what type of day I had, this song can always take me away to another place. Such a stunning, stunning work of art. Thank you Pepe...
I was walking through Hockeytown to Cobo Hall, and I heard a soft constant beat in the air. As I got closer to the festival, the sound formed into Pepe Bradock's "Deep Burnt." That's when the reality kicked in. As I was going through the tunnel to Hart Plaza someone writing about the festival walked up to me and asked, "How did I feel about it?" While trying to hold back the tears, I said to him, "Listen! Can you hear it? This is one of my favorite records and I heard it a mile away! In my own city! It's one of the greatest moments in my life!" - DJ mike clark at DEMF 2000

Brought this on vinyl in 1999 from apple records, Croydon (now sadly closed) still got it stored in my loft. Back then Pepe Bradock was fairly obscure (in the U.K.) compared to the big french house acts - daft punk, Cassius etc so it’s nice to see him getting his due credit 24 yrs on with 10 million listens
I’m with you with this, some of his other productions are also off the scale. It’s reminding my of an EP, with one of his, funkiest thing ever, need to start digging for it! God bless the French!

Well, I’m from Brazil and I discovered this sound last year and so far this melody hasn’t come out of my head, I can’t explain it, this is beyond music, it’s the junction of all sensations and senses. I went through a very difficult year, I didn’t go through the college I dreamed of the most, I got lost, while all my friends entered their colleges, studying what they liked. It was a very difficult and sad period, but today I received the news that I spent in the two best colleges for economics in Latin America, FGV and insper, I am now listening to this song and the feeling is completely out of the understandable, of relief, of happiness for all the effort not having been in vain and that now I will be able to study what I like This song accompanied me throughout this process, reminding me of each part and it is present in the most important for me, which is my approval. There is a comment here that exemplifies exactly what this song is, “this song sounds like the sunrise”. Thank you Pepe bradock for sculpting this work, I hope to meet you one day.
Man sooooo many memories of an Aussie working in the Swiss Alps. Was very lucky to be able to spin tunes most weeks. every single time I played this people completely flipped. Timeless
my personal experience with this track involves listening to it at the end of every of night when i got drunk during my senior year of highschool, and always making everything so better in a period where I knew nothing would ever be the same in a few months time. I always come back to this song with melancholy for those times and happiness that I got through them. Thank you, Pepe!
Bro i do it similar. When you come home from a party or a night together with friends, you turn on this tune, return into your cozy home reality and shut off the day. Perfect way to let it all settle and enjoy the memories the next day
When I first heard this song I was in the middle of smoking a cigarette with Karl shwarzchild, I was enchanted by the beauty around me and the aroma of bugs I smoked, I’ll never forget this moment, music lives on forever . ♾️
All the comments about this we're already said. I'm a D&B head but this is one of the best tracks ever made, ever. Best comment below was, "that synth line sounds like the sun rising"
If someone said to me that they ripped out all emotion they ever had, love, hate, anger, joy, happiness etc and packaged it up sent it off to the pressing plant and got a record made, I would presume that the end product was "Deep Burnt". I listen to this most days and it never gets boring. I can put this on and sit back, chill out and relax or on the contary I could hear this in a club at 4am whilst dripping with sweat and hanging from the walls, and dance like i've never danced before. This is music
That was my very first time listening to this music up at my center called second home up in East Orange, New Jersey. I like this music because it relaxes your mind and if you are in your car driving on the road? This is the kind of music listen to as well. None of the radio stations never played Pepe Bradock deep burnt!!! This is really cool music to listen to!!!
I’m trying be a House artist and I’m super inspired by these kinds of vibes. I’m not at a level to compare myself yet but I feel the classic shit and hope one day to be successful in bringing a piece of that in my music. The energy here is something else. Peace.
Been producing for three years and still couldn't put my finger on that House flavour, I've come to a harsh realization that my music so far is just music on a 4/4 beat. It's a tough path to walk but hopefully we will make it.
ok. this is really weird. i'm at the roxy blu reunion party a couple of weeks ago and i hear this track and those strings start blowing me away and i asked my friend if he knew the track and he didn't. Well, low and behold, youtube recommends this track for me and its the one. well done youtube, you must have been there. what a crazy coincidence. made my day.
It's worse for me, I knew this track for 'so long' now. Yet I didn't know from where. Did I have it on vynil or cd ..... And the shit is, I can't track it right now because are in a garage somewhere at the moment..
Une merveille de composition de l’art musical céleste🎶 ,léger sans encombrement, saturé de mauvais, ici tout est musique à perdre raisons du vivant 🎉un chouette morceaux 👍,pour les créateurs 🎼
I am learning how to drive and I have a bit of driver anxiety but I was driving to this around 4 AM to practice and it really helped me tune that anxiety out and just groove.
Ricardo Villalobos lately said: "You are touched by it (the music); you cry because of a rhythm. Me, I’m crying all the time.” I now can relate - I cried when i heard this tune for the first time, what a absolut trip! out of this world!
First time I heard this track was in Dubspot Records store NYC when it was opened. Picked it up not knowing what it was and when I dropped my needle on that record..."OMG WTF is THIS?!" The magic of discovering something like this, seeing and feeling their reaction at a party a few hrs later. No Words.
"LARRY HEARD - CAN YOU FEEL IT" **FIND THIS!! A 1998 DEEP HOUSE CLASSIC!!** here's some others, "Pepe Bradock - Life" this is so sweetly deep... "Rupeski - Dreaming" is similar & properly deep (it's a remix but don't remember by who)... "Zero 7 - Distractions (Block 16 Remix)" has got vocal deepness... "Daft Punk - Voyager" i know, daft, but just listen, it's deep, imho... "Probspot vs Alexi Delano - You & Me" is upbeat but properly deep, nice bass... "4 Hero - 9x9" a deep jazzy mind-meld???... "Physics - 7 am Sessions" this'll take you deep down under if you let it... "Fluid X - Change" properly deep... "Deep Dish - Mohammad is Jesus (In Dub)" i know, forget the title, DEEP... "Matthew Herbert - It's Only" not truly similar but has 4x4 & deeply artistic... "Photek - Solaris" always loved this kinda deep aesthetic... "Kings of Tomorrow - Finally" has a vocal & still deep, & is a CLASSIC because of that... "Kerri Chandler - Bar a Thym" properly deep... "Mike Dunn - Deep Lat'n Soul Thoughts" properly deep & a classic... "FLOATING POINTS - MYRTLE AVENUE" **FIND THIS!! CLASSIC**

Many are! There's a sublime point in which you aren't surpassed by others, you share the Heavens together.
There was a time when FG Paris DJ Radio was the lighthouse that illuminated the whole world with house music. I owe them this track, among hundreds.
If you call this a classic will be an understatement. This track should be put in a dictionary as the definition of Deep House.
Amen to that
That honor would probably have to go to Larry Heard Can You Feel It from 1986.
both can you feel it and this are the definition of deep house, just different eras i'd say. i actually bought doubles of this record twice. LOL

The underground of deep deep house and beyond
When I first heard this song I was in the middle of smoking a cigarette with Karl shwarzchild, I was enchanted by the beauty around me and the aroma of bugs I smoked, I’ll never forget this moment, music lives on forever . ♾️
Tribe called quest did a song called “for the love” using the sample. It was brilliance.
All the comments about this we're already said. I'm a D&B head but this is one of the best tracks ever made, ever. Best comment below was, "that synth line sounds like the sun rising"
This is the sound of hot & bright summer nights... good vibes, house calls & woos from the crowd; everyone & everything is beautiful.
So Cool 😎
I stayed up all night. I left my job at the firm after listening to this track. I changed the course of my journey. Something happened.
Get itttt
Very interesting.....
really because of this song? what else!
Hope it's all worked out for you, how about an update? ☺
Resumindo... Você ficou loucão!
big ups to the French artists and the French house man... shit is so smooth
Such a legendary track. This reminds me of a murky night in a warehouse i'll never forget.
Or you forgot too soon LOL
That was my very first time listening to this music up at my center called second home up in East Orange, New Jersey. I like this music because it relaxes your mind and if you are in your car driving on the road? This is the kind of music listen to as well. None of the radio stations never played Pepe Bradock deep burnt!!! This is really cool music to listen to!!!
I’m trying be a House artist and I’m super inspired by these kinds of vibes. I’m not at a level to compare myself yet but I feel the classic shit and hope one day to be successful in bringing a piece of that in my music. The energy here is something else. Peace.
yoo i hope u made it, if not yet keep trying!! Great things always take time.
Been producing for three years and still couldn't put my finger on that House flavour, I've come to a harsh realization that my music so far is just music on a 4/4 beat. It's a tough path to walk but hopefully we will make it.
So glad i got this on vinyl. Love it. Always gets a drop at our house
ok. this is really weird. i'm at the roxy blu reunion party a couple of weeks ago and i hear this track and those strings start blowing me away and i asked my friend if he knew the track and he didn't. Well, low and behold, youtube recommends this track for me and its the one. well done youtube, you must have been there. what a crazy coincidence. made my day.
djpause law of attraction 😮
ROXY
It's worse for me, I knew this track for 'so long' now. Yet I didn't know from where. Did I have it on vynil or cd ..... And the shit is, I can't track it right now because are in a garage somewhere at the moment..
@Reinhard Johannes Cornelis van Alphen unironically this, no doubt

I am learning how to drive and I have a bit of driver anxiety but I was driving to this around 4 AM to practice and it really helped me tune that anxiety out and just groove.

Dude this needs to go on general sale to the public. It’s so damn good matey. What a tune🔥🔥
I remember this tune always played at closing at the club
I listen to a ridiculous amount of music but I'm still finding stuff that's new to me and sounds awesome!
You certaintly have a lot of playlists. Fair taste in anime.
Ricardo Villalobos lately said: "You are touched by it (the music); you cry because of a rhythm. Me, I’m crying all the time.”
I now can relate - I cried when i heard this tune for the first time, what a absolut trip! out of this world!
Damn I feel old...I used to listen to this over and over....big Bloodclot chune!!!
First time I heard this track was in Dubspot Records store NYC when it was opened. Picked it up not knowing what it was and when I dropped my needle on that record..."OMG WTF is THIS?!" The magic of discovering something like this, seeing and feeling their reaction at a party a few hrs later. No Words.
Great song! Very euphoric. I came for the comments !
After all these years. I still love this track.
Yes I still love this track. It gives off a lot of emotion. So glad I don't do drugs anymore.

I'm 57yrs a psycho for hard-core beats and breaks... This will set Los Angeles I to a riot👀💙 this has to be the hardest beat I've heard this millennium. THANK YOU 🤘
I have not heard this song since college forever ago in Atlanta. A part of my brain woke up and I relived the night of the party I heard it at and the smell of the later in the car ride home. Incredible tune, thank you for this. The algorithm is getting eerily good…
Music is inside us. Cheers mate 👍
None of the remixes are even in the same universe as the original.
You cant beat perfection.
All these subtle variations to the chord throughout the track, makes it sound so organic and natural. Best house track I know :))
this amazing song poped up as I was driving through the Nevada desert at night heading back to chicago from vegas, for that one moment in life where I forgot what life was and I was in a whole new world... just amazing
