We lived in Bangkok 1969-1971 and went to Pattaya often during that time. This brought back memories. Went back to Pattaya several times from 2003-2008. Unbelievable changes.
there was a R&R center located at the north end of the beach road{before it turned right} then continued to the main hwy. This R&R center was used by US military stationed in-country. The Nam R&R guys seldom made it out of Bangkok and most were more interested in the Bangkok bars then the Pattaya Beach.I was stationed at Pattaya Beach R&R Center from Dec.1971, til it's closing in Feb.1973. My NCOIC was Sgt. Rick Riveria, from Brooklin, NY
What a wonderful beautiful place Thailand must have been back in 1971❤❤
