Just installed the tst kit, and the tail light is awesome. Even just to use it as a stand-alone tail lamp, it's worth it because it is so much brighter than the factory light and looks much more modern.
Awesome video. I was so curious how the cleanup of the taillight was going to go in regards to cutting so it was awesome to see how it wasn't too difficult to do considering a box cutter was used. I'm sure with a steady hand a dremel it'd go faster but I ain't got a steady hand haha. Thanks for showing a method most anyone can do!
You're just showing off because it's your bike
On one hand I’m glad they are coming out with stuff for the bike on the other hand i was hoping for a kit that was reversible. I’ll probably still end up getting it because it does clean up the tail well even though i have to cut ( I’m lazy)
Not gonna lie. That looks damn good. Nice work!!
Thank you!
I did this and I'm glad I did I couldn't stand that factory set up. Looks way cleaner now.
I suck at handmade stuff. But this will be my summer project this year
If our video helps you feel comfortable working on your bike with confidence, we’ve done our job!
I’m just looking to swap an led into the existing rear housing. I tried it, and it didn’t react to brake functions. Any ideas?
Looks amazing, do you guys make other parts for the xr150?
Oh can view our full product suite for the bike on our website. We didn’t go too in/depth due to availability of the bike and the unknown market but we offer a few things.
Are any harness or flasher changes needed to use the the light with the kit as a tail/brake lamp and not turn signals?
@@johnrogers2849 no, you can simply plug the main connector in and it will function as intended without additional hardware. This ONLY applies if you’re only using this as a stand-alone tail light unit, no signals.
Wonder if this would fit a xr650l ?
That does look nice 👌
Oh great! Thank you.
What tail light is that tnx for the idea..
🎉
That’s ours. We explain that in the intro and in the outro. The link can be found in the description.
Nice vehicle
Can't seem to get my new tail light and flashers to flash? Not sure what I did wrong?
Did you purchase and install our LED Flasher Relay and Diode? Is anything else not working?
@@TSTindustries welp that must be it. Lol cause I did not dangit
@@TSTindustries do I need both if I'm only changing the rear?
@@skylerbartholomew7802 yes. The relay will correct and control the flash rate while the diode mod will ensure proper signal function on the dash.
Kinda crazy 136 dollars for something u still have to cut
We cant help that Honda designed the tail in that way. If i had to design and produce a replacement part for the one that is cut in this process, that would be another 50-60 thousand dollars i have to amortize into the project. Let's say the lifecycle of the product is 5000 sets. That means i have to add 10-12 dollars cost to each set.... All because some people prefer not to cut that cheapo polypropylene part. That is shooting myself in the foot, extending the time to market, and using up valuable time that can go towards designing other parts. It just doesn't make sense.
complete waste of time
Sorry you feel that way but thanks for the view!
