Zack was the first person that came to my mind. I remember when Zack (rest in peace 👑🙏🏾) went to a gang member's house to interview him. I think the guy was a drill rapper. At one point during the interview, he took Zack to a room that was dimly lit and there were several other gang members posted up in the room. A few of them had their faces covered (bad sign). My heart dropped looking at the fear in Zack's face when he realized how many gang members were in that room. He told them to turn the lights on or he wasn't going to finish the interview. I really believe they were going to try to rob/hurt him or worse.

Then they catch a case as teenagers. Suddenly they can’t get normal jobs, now they are stuck. The trauma passes onto the next generation. They say themselves we’re in too deep. It will be an incredibly hard cycle to break, but the black community cannot give up. If you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up.

I had never seen the Eastside until recently. It's alot bigger than it is on the map. The Eastside will fool you. It will fool you good because it is a nice looking neighborhood. It's not like Englewood or Riverdale. You can look at those places and tell alot of crime goes on. But you look at the Eastside, it looks like it won't hurt a fly. It is a very beautiful looking place. That South shore area. One of my lady friends moved out there, I used to pick her up out there. She told me it be people getting killed outside her door. I was shocked. Damn!!!!! Everybody tell me the Eastside/Southshore area is terrible.
