The ram? Link to Moffat historical centre of the wool trade in days of yore. Also, Buccleugh Arms hotel, great place for a bike tour base with secure storage for motorcycles. Highly recommended.

It was testing conditions at Glenmore in the cairngorms. From 3am the MH was like been on a North Sea ferry in a force 9. Power out for 27hrs too 😮. On to Glencoe in the morning if weathers fair. Enjoy your trip it’s all part of the experience 🤪🤪🤪

We stayed at Globe Vale in Cornwall over the Xmas period in 59mph winds and we put up the Vango Air Awning as well. Lol, and it stood the test.

Rob you are correct regarding alcohol pricing. In 2012 scotland introduced a minimum pricing on alcohol at 50p per unit.

Hi u2. I found out moffatt is closed over jan for upgrading i think. When we moved lock, stock and barrell from Dudley boro..we spend three weeks on that site.

I worked out that when you were born Rob I was about to start work!! First van we had e , on the front, old Commer van camper, autosleeper. No idea how we managed. Late 70s ish, no power cables, toilets etc..fun times.....

Normally it’s one of the best, this time it was awful, McDonalds had run out of everything, it was rammed and the way people had parked was ridiculously stupid, rant over 🤣🤣

Aww wow what a lovely little village Moffat is so quaint and quite but i think it would be very busy in the summer and love the fact there is caravan and camping site as we are members so handy ... .. I have a funny feeling Rob you have your watch on so you cant get away with not buying can he Lynn 😂..... I think ive told you before we were at Scotlandat Gairloch he was manger of beautiful Hotel we went in our Motorhome and i couldn't get over the beautiful scenery its like being on a different planet ..... @@RobandLynnontour hi the cafe and garden centre are closed from from the end of nov to the end of feb but the campsite and aire etc are open (no toilets or showers) water , Elsan ect it can be booked on line enjoy your trip 😊

Yip weather has been crap, hope all goes well on your travels both, I'll say that for a tag axle it sticks to the road and you really don't notice the bad weather (cos i used to get nervous on the motorway too) enjoy guys😊
We have had a bit of a hammering from the weather haven’t we our van sticks to the road well too but even 50 ton trucks get blown around 👍

Hi Guys watching your Southport escapade, do you run lithium batteries, if so which ones and are they charged by the sargent control unit, or have you had to make other modifications to charge them ? Thanks Andy ( 2023 Swift Kontiki which eats battery power)😢
Hi all I have done is take the lead acid out and replaced it with a 200 amp hour lithium battery 👍 the Sargent set up will only charge a lithium battery up to around 80 percent so what we do after every trip is too it up using a victron charger and a power bank 👍

@RobandLynnontour Morning, The A9 is absolute fine. Little snow on the side of the roads but clear roads. That's Inverness to Perth. Traffic a little slower but safe travels folks 👍

I also hate motorways and in that weather its even worse. I think high sided vehicles should be banned in awful weather conditions on motorway. I agree stopmat the campsite so much safer. That's the reason we have a cat, they dont like going out in the rain.
