I think you are thinking too much two-dimensionally and not outside the box. Yes, Maliek's videos are meant to educate, but they're also designed to get the creative juices flowing. I have put together a few slide-shows, notably of vacation get-aways, but I have a standing project where I aim to put a slideshow together for a friend's much loved departed grandchild as a remembrance of her life. Even though I have made slideshow's in the past, there was some info I also didn't know about which I can use in future videos. Thanks, Maliek and all the best Tom in your future endeavours.

I'm using PD19 and I would like to make a slideshow with the 'cell' or 'highligt' style, customise my slideshow with only the slides and the sequence that I want. All work fine, but the speed of the slideshow is much to high. Standard option to create a slideshow based on the length of the music does not work in my case because I want to choose the pictures (and the may only occur once in my slideshow). How can I slowdown the style creation proces?
I follow your steps PD 21 in my MacBook Air. I surprise plugins not included PD for MacBook.

Hi Maliek. Thank you, I learn a lot from your videos. I am a minister and at this moment I use the program to edit. I also want to use it to make my slideshow presentations that I use when I preach. Is there a way for me to manually move from one slide to another without the timing setting? I do livestreaming of the sermons. I want to use the same slides that I show to the audience in livestreaming.
Hello. Thanks for watching. No there isn't a way to manually control the slide/image change. You would have to pause your video player when you want to pause the show. If that doesn't work you would have to use PowerPoint if you need to control when the slides change.

This video was made in 2019, but my current version of PowerDirector 365 does not have many of the slide show features you demonstrated, such as keyframes and being able to set slide length. How do I get those features?

Hi Malik. Do you know if there is a way to set it so that the duration of all photos in a slideshow is only 2 seconds by default? Currently, I can only do it by manually changing the duration of each photo from 4 seconds to 2 seconds, and with hundreds of photos, that gets a bit tedious ;)

Also, if you only have photos on your timeline you can select all the photos at once by pressing Ctrl + A and then clicking the duration button above the timeline and changing the duration there.
Thanks for the video! I am trying to make my slideshow, in particular with the collage style, and the slideshow is cutting off most of the photos. I can not figure out how to get a slideshow to show the entire photos. 😓

Your Cyblerlinks instructional videos are very good and easy to follow. My question about slideshow maker, is there a way to put text in? I want to put a personalized title. I like to use the Gallery slideshow. Can I use a personalized title instead of the slideshow starting with just Gallery in the beginning.
If you create a snap shot of a title you can use it as an image in your slideshow. You can also place a title at the beginning of the timeline and then add your slideshow after it.
What is the default aspect ratio?

Once the slideshow is on the timeline you can add as many songs as you want.

I have powerdirector 365. How do I get/download additional slide show styles?
Google "DirectorZone" and "PDTemplateZone". You should be able to search those sites and find some things.
Can you add a short video clip and mix it in with the slides?
Our Texas Family Videos Yes. At the end select “Advanced Editing” and it will add the slideshow to your timeline. Split the slideshow clip where you want to insert the video clip. Add the video close in between the two slideshow clips. Wa-la!

So, if you use the slide show creator plugin, you can't change the duration of the slides all at once... Does it have to be 1 to 1 manually?
Selecting one of the duration options in the slideshow preferences changes the duration of all the photos at once. Otherwise you can change them to individually

Tom Gibson If you want control over the transitions you can use the Theme Designer to create a slideshow. With that feature you can modify and change the transitions. I’ll be uploading a tutorial on the Theme Designer next week.

Can PowerDirector 365 do photo and video morphing?
It doesn't have a particular effect to morph but you can try using some of the effects in the program to see if they fit your needs.
hmmm a black out has appeared at the start ?? how do I get round that ??
🤷🏾♂So the first picture is not there and all you see is a black screen? Or, a black screen is there and then the first picture shows up? Did you check your timeline to make sure there is no space at the beginning?
I've created several slideshows using this method in PD16, but I recently upgraded my computer and had to rein.stall the software on the new computer. I must have missed something because this option is no longer there... i.e. no Slideshow option under plugins. The only options are:
- Multicam Designer
- Theme Designer
- Action Camera Center
- Express Project
- Screen Recorder
- Blending Effect
- Video Collage Designer
... and AI Style Plugin
Any idea why the Slideshow Creator disappeared or what I might have missed during the reinstallation process?

Is there a way to shuffle/randomize the photos instead of placing them in order of date taken or the timeline order which, I assume, is alphabetical?
I would hate to have to randomly place over 100 photos in a slideshow. Lol

After you create the slideshow bring it back into PowerDirector, add a clip to the track below, use PiP Designer to scale and place that clip where you want it over the slideshow.

When you zoom in a photo, does it decrease the quality ?
Hayati Channel The closer you get to any image the more pixels you will see. The quality of the image won’t change because the resolution isn’t changing. Seeing more pixels doesn’t decrease quality. So my answer would be no.

Hello, the new powerdirector update patch 17 made during the production of the video a you tube window opened, the inconvenience that caused me is that it greatly slows the production of the video, I have a video that lasts 22 minutes and time total to produce it is 2 hours!
if you know any way to deactivate that you tube window I would be grateful, otherwise I would be forced to uninstall that update

Dayan Suarez I’m not aware of the issue you’re referring to. You may have to roll back to the previous version. You should contact CyberLink for help with this issue.
The slideshow plugin is really easy to use. The problem is that it has way too much graphics and does a poor job of displaying the images. If I make a slideshow, it's main purpose if for people to be able to see the images. Graphics are nice as long as they are secondary to the images you want to display. I would like all horizontal images to display almost full screen and any vertical images should be placed on the screen in pairs or scrolling across the screen so that they are as full screen as possible. I guess I'll have to use another product to get what I want. However, I really want to like this product.

@@PDU_Tutorials I could not really find a slideshow software that did what I wanted. I ended up using PowerDirector but to get the show like I wanted, I had to put vertical images on two timelines and then drag one image to the left and one to the right.
I used color boards on the top timeline to hold the place above full screen images. All transitions went to the second timeline and the show ended up pretty good but was a big hassle to arrange 350 slides for a 30 minute show.
I would like a slideshow wizard that gives more flexibility to add custom titles. What would be really nice for vertical images would be having the capability of creating a collage of as many photos as you want but have them scroll from right to left or vice-versus. The collage should be created from images that are in your already imported images so that after they are used in a collage, they show up with a check-mark so that you know they have been used. The existing collage plugin asks you to import images that you may already have in your imported images and they don't indicate that they have been used.
I upgraded to PowerDirector 365 so that I could utilize all the features but after my year is up, I will cancel and go back to PowerDirector 17 since I just can't tell much difference anyway.

The technique involves displaying multiple photos together inside the same window within a slideshow so that the photos are interacting with each other by switching positions with one another.....
@@julianparker896 You could do that by manually creating a video clip of the pictures switching, producing it, producing a separate slideshow, then importing both the videos into the media library, placing both clips in the timeline, and inserting the clip of the pics switching into the slideshow.
