    Or could just get the test strips. Neat tip if it works. Ill try both.

      The dye in the coolant will screw with the results on litmus paper.

      @@thetangieman3426 umm, isn't this what they are made for? Where else would you use them? They literally say coolant test strips. Enlighten me.

      @@spdergod I've never seen coolant test strips. Didn't know they existed. I would guess they're just litmus strips where they slightly alter the reactant to prevent false neutral, but TBH I'm not entirely sure.

      ​@@spdergodconsidering there are many types of coolant and you literally cant mix different coolants like you even possibly could with oil id say they arent as reliable.

    Won't work on plastic radiators

      Only the tanks are plastic. Move one probe to a metal part like the crimp on the core.

      When I was 17 in 1971, my boss at a radiator shop taught me that. I've been doing it since.

      I think most cars with plastic radiators use synthetic coolant.
