Sounds like you're incredibly close-minded and would rather make conspiracy theories because you don't want to be proven wrong. Why would they lie!? What would they gain from doing it? This is nothing but a rumor with no proof at all. While it's bizarre that they would skip the first book and go straight to the second, you have to remember that the first Night of the Living Dummy was a Friday the 13th Part 1 situation where Slappy wasn't the main antagonist, in fact, he was a red herring and then only came to life in the last couple sentences as a twist. They probably didn't want to go through the trouble of adapting or rewriting the book where Slappy was barely in it (or at the very least wasn't the actual threat), and alienate audiences so they probably thought that they might as well skip to the first book where he was the main antagonist. The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb also never got adapted in the show and they just skipped straight to Return of the Mummy and removed any references to the first book and the title now has a different meaning.

I love all the stuff until 2023. 2023 had a good series but I swear the 2023 versions is a bit to over exaggerated😂
