Hey there. I just got one of these for my wife. But, I got the far more reasonable 12700 version. After adding a 2TB (Gen 3x4) and 64 GB of ram, I was sitting at about )1300. Our needs are unique in that we run off solar so power usage is critical. She’s been running a 10th Gen 17” razor with the 49” Samsung ultra wide monitor. Performance is sluggish given all the work she has open at once. My hope is to pair this with an efficient GPU that will run at low power when not taxed so that the overall power draw is similar. I can let you know how all this works out if you like. Trying to build something feature for feature I found this to be a very good value, with Black Friday sales anyway. I can’t wait to get this in and see how it performs. Cheers Rick
The CPU is not soldered. If if was a BGA CPU it would've been with HK or HQ termination. What you actually got there is a 12900 non-k CPU. You are right for temperatures I think an I7 12700 would be best.
The bottom where it looks like an m.2 should go is because on the previous gen Nuc’s it did have an m.2 slot there, but in this model they moved it to a different spot but kept the same case tooling so the panel is still there covering an unpopulated m.2 area. Also the cpu is socketed on the 12th gen nuc’s
Good vid. PS5 is a fraction of the cost. I still have my Intel HadesCanyon from 3-4 years ago. Runs smoothly, great for video editing productivity, games. Taking it on vacation so easily is priceless
To me the value in a mini pc would be portability, but then a computer built into a military style gun case like a pelican or something similar would make even more sense
So no issues with power delivery ? i am about to buy a nuc 11 or 12 and a 3080TI FE took me 3 weeks to save the money and i dont wanna regret buying this setup
How about VGA core and memory junction temperature? I also using NUC 12 Extreme with RTX3070 Ti FE. I will considering upgrade VGA RTX 3070Ti FE to RTX3080Ti FE or RTX 3080Ti FE. But VGA temperature is worrying. Some reply please. Thanks. 😊😊
hi ive been watching your videos for a while and have even purchased a few things from you recently. well im building a computer for the first time in a long time and im trying to find out what version of bios this motherboard came with to see if i even need to flash the bios if you (or someone reading this) could help me acquire this information it would be greatly appreciated im its a gigabyte b550 gaming x v2 rev. 1.x made in week 50 of 2021 and im going to be running a ryzen 5600x so i need version f10 or higher (i do not have the cpu yet its on the way im trying to prepare the motherboard) so i cant tell by trying to turn it on and see if even shows my processor
High-end mini PCs are rarely worth the money. Higher price, higher temperatures, harder to upgrade, and on top of that if you coul afford them you probably have enough space in your house/flat for full sized computer case :D
That particular compute unit houses socketed desktop cpu's , i9 12900 but not the K series sku overclock (obviously it will overheat to oblivion as it is , LOLZ 🤣)
I'm new to PC my ssd had a sticker on it . It was like an actual sticker It kinda looked like this ssd sticker I hope my ssd will work fine I'm sure it will

Lol funny how often a 500k subscriber count channel continues to get simple stuff wrong
@@Harkie760 This happens if you do not check the spec sheet of the product before reviewing it.

A word of advice, RTFM. If you don't know what that means you should not be screwing around with internals of anything, not just PCs.
“You maybe have a total of 12 inches right there.” 2:04
You gotta admit were just watching them buy or build PC's because we can't afford them 😂
True
very true
An I9? I hear they run uber hot. like cook a can of beans on a radiator hot. How can this small case really work well over time?
