Happy New Year, John! Cyrillic is the alphabet used in Russia. It's bloody impossible to understand, but my wife is pretty good with it, my wife is brilliant. That wasn't a bad wee trip onto the fields of Perthshire!

Happy New Year to you, John! RUclips offered me a Metal Detectoring video from somewhere else in Scotland yesterday and it served to make your videos really stand out! He used similar language, and I think he's studied your vids to know what to do, but what actually surprised me was how bad his shooting skills were and the lack of info about what he found. Really made me appreciate your excellent videos!

In the United States,1964 was the last year for silver quarters and dimes. A coin the size of that Elizabeth Half Penny would get my heart going!

@thescottishdetectorist Our One Cent coins have been copper clad zinc for over 40 years. They rot away like Alka-Seltzer in hot water. And they come out of the ground missing edges, surface bubbled, even have holes after just a few years in the ground.

Bullet jackets are nearly always copper jacketed.Love your videos I just wish we had places of age like yours here in Australia. Most detecting here is for Gold. Keep up the informative videos.

Happy New Year John! What you surmised was something "agricultural" kind of looked like it could have been some sort of nail or fastener, either Georgian or from either the James I (VI) or possibly one of the Charles' times. It didn't look very modern, but you got a better look at the type of metal. I would still count it as a relic, though. Congrats on getting closer to 39,000 subscribers. You'll be over 50,000 before years end, I predict!!
