I love this episode for being as close to a Get Smart "Christmas" episode as you could get, (and the really cool, dangerous toys of the 60's)...reminds me of lawn darts and spring guns.
Amazing how well this show and this humor stands up - funny material, wonderfully executed, and the show looks great on vid - the late Buck Henry (2020) Mel Brooks, the main cast, guest agents and villians = brilliant! They must have had a gas doing this show! (hope so...) The secret agent genre a lode of comedy to mine from....enjoyed Get Smart as a grade-schooler; still yucking it up as an adult!
There are some moments of genuinely good comedic writing on many episodes, but it Get Smart didn't exactly move the genre forward. Maybe you should get out a little more, fella. 🙂
@@AsinineComment You're right. I've only traveled to 44 countries and spent 7 yrs of my life living in them....and anything that happened before 2007 is so passe'.
I'm old enough to remember the bellicose toys of the 1960s. The satire here was on the mark.
