The best thing about the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies is that they build in what Star Wars was in the 70s and 80s. The Special and Visual Effects are based on the concept of a dirty, used and gritty world. This will help them last forever because the quality of the effects won't go away since they don't look fake. The other great thing the fourth and fifth sequels don't do right is that Jack Sparrow is a supporting character. Even though the Academy Awards nominated him for a Leading Role, the screenwriters wanted to tell the story of Will and Elisabeth and use Jack as a character that helps Will and the audience learn about the pirate world. The second and third film, while bringing Jack closer to the leading role still tell the story of Will and Elisabeth and how whatever Jack does causes problems in their lives. Brilliant trilogy.
I've been waiting for this like forever. Dead men tell no tales is has actually some pretty cool liking scenes. For example the flashback scene when Salazar destroys the boats or the bank robbery scene
the problem is that in the third movie they left the ending opened, because it would be bad if it just ended like jack having some small boat and barbossa leaving with black pearl. The honesty of this video by barely showing any clip of the last one is appreciated , the movie had just a couple good scenes (like the one with Jack becomig captain for the very first time), the rest was pretty horrible, same with the fourth one, the saga became a money machine, I hope they can fix it in the next one, with or without Jhonny Deep, the saga is much more than an actor, even if we will miss him, there´s still chances of giving the saga his greatness back. Sorry for the bad english, and thank you for the video.
This video is a masterpiece of its own
I'm just gonna come out and say it..
*Pirates Of the Carribean 1 - 3 are great films that go right alongside LOTR and the original Star Wars films!*
I personally don't mind 4 & 5 all that much.... but i think of them more as.... high budget fan films as opposed to the core of the franchise.
I enjoy them a lot. But they aren't.... EPIC as the first 3

2:21 This here may very well be the #1 best movie shot in cinematic history.
Good trailer for the original trilogy collection on DVD
