I dont like walking in the bedding areas too early, dont wanna bump out the bucks and have them shed elsewhere or further away. I tend to stay close to feeding and along the edges. I find alot of my sheds in staging grassy areas in january.
I'm going in every time post season the information is super important to see. I need to see the exact location of the beds so I can plan for next year access points. All the information is easy too see and sheds are just a bonus lol
Poor doe, I hear some of these suburban deer get stomach problems when they get feed to much corn from the houses near by awesome finds. found one side on january 16 next week later i found the other side 2 ft from where i found the one side.
Yes these deer definitely get fed by people in the off seasoning honestly I think it helps a little, but over eating is a problem for sure. Congrats on the finds seems like that happens a lot when shed hunting.I do the same thing re-walk areas over and over normally approaching from a different angle every time.
yeah it did for sure but that spot never penetrated the hide. Im thinking she fell through some ice in the swamp and possibly broke some ribs punching the lungs. I did back track and found a few suspicious spots...
Hope you match him up he’s a stud for sure.
Thanks Tunes I'm on him
Yeah me too he’s definitely a home body deer can’t wait to see what he turns into next Year!
