I would like to see a behind the scenes access of this maze. There’s a few scenes I don’t understand yet.
i went to this at thorpe park and it scared the life out of me. i thought it was gonna be a nice maze for me to find my way around but it’s really not like that. i covered my eyes and let my friend lead me and she loved it. it was generally really confusing for me and i really didn’t like it. it’s definitely cool and if you’re into that stuff please try it for yourself! it’s just not what i personally enjoy
i went on the ride too and i thought it would be fun.It was funny at the start because a boy put his name as a girl who was on the maze as well

I thought it was a bit underwhelming personally, but I thought it was alright to do at least once. Lovely walk through chaps, on point as per!
Sidenote, does anyone know if the right hand door is possible to go through in the second room, or if it's just a staff section?

It’s about time this goes tbh. Completely refurbish the area, remove slammer and put a gyro swing in there and put this area back as a fright nights maze

It says not to if you have asthma but I have it and was fine going round today

It's not I did it twice out of all my visits to the park in 2021 it was better it has just gone much worse in 2022 I do visit the park often black mirror labyrinth is the worst attraction at Thorpe park many other thrill seekers would say the same.
I am going there soon with my friends I can't wait to go in there at Thorpe park.

There isn’t, it’s based on Black Mirror, if you play Bandersnatch there is no good ending that is actually good, only 2 “good” ones are you go to jail for multiple murders and the game does well, or you die with your mother
Black Mirror isn’t about good endings, so I don’t think the ride has any

How does this work when it’s not just 2 people going around? Is done as a free-for-all or in small groups?
I can just walk through all this in like 3-5 minutes maybe even less

Tbh it’s more scary than Derren Brown’s Ghost Train

Oh and ghost train people say that it's pretty much the best attraction at the park or 2nd and on a busy day black mirror has a 10-15 minute wait or less while the rest are at 40+ no one likes it.
But what was in the white bear part?
It looks alright, nothing that makes me want to queue for it.
Imo, thorpe needs a coaster not more walk through attractions.
Agreed the only roller coasters they’ve got are swarm and stealth (the best rides there), saw and nemesis inferno rides you can find better versions of at other parks and colossus, walking dead the ride and flying fish all extremely hated

I don't recommend this for people who have autism or get overwhelmed easily. it was very long and it was very overwhelming. the jist of it is great though I love black mirror

Just a glorified mirror maze. I wish they would stop with these underwhelming walk through attractions and instead install more rides

This ride sucks. It’s a terrible walkthrough, it’s the same 3 rooms repeated. The only Black Mirror stuff in here is the Blocking feature from Archangel and MAYBE those heads were Cookies but honestly that’s a stretch
This ride has such a build up, including your face and name, but it has the payoff of getting shocked...
The repetition is the main issue, if they had more rooms instead of just Screen Hallway 1, Screen Hallway 2 and Mirror Maze, then it could’ve been good.
It could’ve brought you through some references and callbacks, maybe a room based on the Black Museum with a bloody copy of Bandersnatch (the book or the game) a Waldo plush (could also be sold in the gift shop) and that could’ve incorporated the shocking heads scene
All in all, it needs a refurb to bring in more Black Mirror stuff, otherwise this could have any brand slapped onto it
Also yeah... the White Bear symbol is cool and all for a dead end, and I guess since they say Game Over it *could* be Bandersnatch but... it’s so much of a stretch
I suppose you can't go too IP heavy, cause otherwise folks like me wouldn't have a clue what's going on. I think Saw probably does the best job of balancing it, so BML could probably take a leaf out of their book
@@notactuallytesco it can and should go IP heavy with something like Black Mirror
The thing about Black Mirror IP is that the concept doesn’t require you to see the show to understand, the plot makes sense because the preshow can carry the weight of explaining some of the references
You can even have TV’s playing clips from episodes or trailers while in line, Six Flags does that in some rides where they play Looney Toons clips
@@Foxy02016 I can see that working with a slightly different attraction themed with the IP, but for the maze I'm not sure it could work like that. Don't get me wrong, the premise still WORKS without the branding and still would when dialing up the content a bit more, which is what I'd personally aim for. I get your point about not having to see the show, and whilst I do think there is a good threshold to work within there I also feel there could be a npretty solid line which one should be careful not to overstep
@@notactuallytesco I think that the way to fix it would be to step up to that line instead of staying away from it
@@Foxy02016 That's fair, I can see that working. The only possible gripe I'd have is the chance of going too far, which I think given Merlin's recent track record of overhyping and overstepping may be a real possibility
