Been a Yes fan since 1971 and seen them many times, I latched onto the Band Geeks a few years back and were brilliant musically at Yes covers. The Band Geeks now have the missing element, Jon's unique voice.... Wonderful........Thanks Barry B for uploading...
@@tommyd1871 I didn't say she was poor, Ann Marie did a great job, I just said they now have the missing element that is Jon's unique voice to add to their wonderful musicianship...
Thanks. I've watched them since the yes album and have seen them 20-30 times. I was thrilled to be able to tape this show, especially since Jon is almost 80 years old. He sounds as good as ever.
I saw them the same time as this in NJ. There was no way we would of been able to even glance at your phone -they would take it away….I so wanted to video and take pics ! You got lucky 🍀💥🥁🎵
Just got home from seeing them at the Ryman in Nashville (7/24/24). It was even better than I had hoped it would be. These guys have truly captured the spirit of Yes that I remember so well from half a century ago. If you love Yes and you haven't see them yet, I urge you to go. You won't regret it. And by the way, Carl Palmer as an opening act---was brilliant! At 74 he appears to have lost nothing...and did one of the most creative and refreshing drum solos I have heard. I couldn't help but reflect that Bill Bruford is retired, that Phil Collins can't play anymore, and that Alan White and Neil Peart have left us...but Carl is still going strong!! He and his two young bandmates gave us over an hour...assisted by some vintage clips of Keith and Greg on the big screens to which Carl played along live. They were pretty much worth the price of admission by themselves.
Loving it..👂👀👀…. My joy will be 8-15-2024…. Los Angeles 🌊🏄♂️🌊🎸🔥. Seen yes a few times, but this Geek-Anderson alchemy is just spot on. Not expecting too much, but I’m guessing it’ll be the show of the year as far as I’m concerned… anticipating the grand sonic experience.. Love to all, treat each other well, silly human race.😁👀. 🎸 Our’s is no disgrace, sending peaceful vibes!!✌️🎤🥰🎸🌊🏄♂️🌊🔥
They sound awesome ! 🤩 I can’t believe how great Jon sounds, you can tell he’s absolutely loving this band /tour and having a blast. The band geeks sound even better than currant yes. I hope they tour the UK but thank you for recording this ! ❤️
Age is just a number....if you find your purpose, it gives you life and vitality.....Jon has always been the leader of Yes ( the brains behind the great Yes songs).....he has been a smart guy, never giving into the self destructive habits of the rock and rollers of his generation. That is why he is going strong, because his healthy and spiritual life style. Age is just a number is you are smart and do it right.. Jon is living proof of that. He is always working!
Thanks so much for sharing. I’m in Australia and unlikely to ever get to see this live. Jon’s energy and pure joy radiate as always. The Band Geeks are new to me but I’m definitely checking out their other work. ❤

The new songs are fantastic ❤love, love, light, love🎉
I've seen many incarnations of YES and this show was the strongest musically . And, the most enthusiastic lineup by far . Proud to say I was there this day can't wait until next years GSBMF !
I remember going to see Chris Clark play Yes songs with his old Long Island band Wonderous Stories. I no longer live up there, but I have no doubt they were in the audience cheering him on.
I'm right here on Long Island, I thought they were coming around later in the year. Bummer. Anyway, talk about living a dream huh? It looks like the geeks have energized Jon too.. a win-win... Sounds like it only took one song for you to get your money's worth.
As far as I’m concerned, Jon Anderson is the sound of yes. Am not quite sure what happened between them. I’m sure it’s not Jon’s fault. The other members were crazy to get rid of him. I do not like the new guy in Yes, I will not buy any new Yes Music in less Jon is on it.
Maybe it had something to do with him demanding more money than everyone else when Yes planned a tour. That didn't make him exactly popular with Squire, Howe & White.
The energy is obvious. The main reason being the rhythm section. The drummer is pushing the beat , just as Alan White did and Bill Bruford did. The guy in Yes plays behind the beat so the music sounds plodding. Maybe this is because as a band they have to follow Steve Howe.

Can anyone think of another singer who sounds as good at 80 as they did at 20? I can’t think of anyone. He’s a freak of nature and I love him.
It's the alto tenor voice. Deeper voices wear out quicker and are affected more by booze/cigs/strain than Jon's.
@@MW-pv7rm Yoko Ono?
@@MW-pv7rm Yoko Ono 😂
Still has it. But the band have all tuned their instruments down to make it easier on Jon's voice.
Only Charles Aznavour comes to my mind.
Closest thing we can get! Amazing! Sounds like 1972 prime Yes!!!

Saw them last night in Peachtree City. Amazing show. And people were recording all over the place.

Damn YES he does and the band sounds better than so called Yes does.

The most shit-hot cover band on the planet, with killer originals to boot. Sounds just like early YES with all the same spirit and energy. Yeah!

Better than Howe’s Yes imo.
