Okay this makes me so excited to fly with them! 🙌 This is exactly what I was looking for - I can't do basic economy for a 16 hour flight (followed by a 3 hour layover and another 4 hours flight). It looks like it's comparable to AA's premium economy which was FULLY worth it for the 10 hour flight back from Italy. The larger seat and footrest alone make it worth it. I was actually able to sleep on a flight for the first time in my life (I'm not an anxious flyer, but I have difficulty sleeping).
My family just flew on Eva Premium Economy from LAX to Taipei and our seats did NOT have the extended leg rests. Our flight was on a Boeing 777-300ER and flew on 11-14-24. You must be referring to a different airplane. We don’t think it was worth the upgrade.
Meals in Economy vs Premium Economy are absolutely different. This is easily verified by looking at the menu for a given long haul flight and of course, flying in each respective class.
