Nice mental and physical skill exercise. Very clever indeed. I had to rewind to watch around 5:19, your scrap piece throwing skill. Commendable! One last thing, glad utube gives the option of watching a good video without the sound🙏
doing this cut on the jig without a riving knife is a sure shot hazard. You have a very high chance of pinching with wider pieces of lumber, due to gravity. Need the riving knife to stop that pinching.
Ok so have YOU ever had ANY PROBLEM?? ANY?? with out a riving knife 🔪🗡️🔪 setup??? What about any friends? Or neighbors?? Or even that guy that sat next to you for 5hrs on Uniter 420 from Portland to Miami last year??? Now I know that guy had a story?? I will put a weeks paycheck on it that not a single one of these people have ever had a LACK OF RIVING KNIFES 🔪🗡️🔪🗡️ PROBLEM
Great idea but I have issues with the NO SAFETY practices you indulge in while achieving this. Using and passing your bare hands too close to the circular saw blade is pre-risky and shouldn't be encouraged. Just my observations though
I understand and appreciate your concern. The only thing I aim to encourage in my videos is to repurpose and reuse materials. I’ll start adding a disclaimer at the intro to my videos to NOT do things HOW I do it since they might not be the safest practice. I’ve been working with power tools since I was a kid and have a level of comfort at close proximity that others, like yourself, might not share or agree with. Again, thank you for your concern and I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video.
you hate turning the handle to set the saw 45° but it's ok assemble and dismantle huge jig... plus, it only works on 45° at the edge of the board, if you want to cut 2 french cleats from the same board, you will have to tild your blade hu? serious Khabane Lame candidate ^^ although, funny video, good entertainment
His table saw might be like mine , just can’t reach 45 degrees, I just built on like he did and it works great, I build a lot of boxes and mostly have a 45 corners and this works great
@@jamespolucha6911 good to know, maybe a good T-bevel or square helps... when I want a good french cleat, I cut the almost 45° then I use a 45° router bit for precision.
@@jamespolucha6911 my first 🥇 was a hand -me-down!!! from POP -POPS!! MY grandfather from my baby Uber!! And yes it would even try to get close to 45 more LIKE 42 1/4 most nights!! So this is like a miracle an can make others at 60°,30°,22°, or anything that makes me happy!!!!
I'm with you. I hate taking my saw bade off of 90 degrees. It is such a pain to get dialed back in.
You’re a legend! Thanks a lot for sharing you skills. Exactly what we were looking for.

Made a mini one for my hobby table saw. Roughly like yours 😁
Yes! This is exactly what I want! I hate moving my table saw out of square. Thanks, man!
Great work knew there was a simple solution.
Brilliant idea you're a star
Thanks for the video, my table saw won’t reach 45 degrees so I need a jig like this thanks again
Excellent job
I will make one for a 60 degree cut to make some Klipsch LaScala speakers and maybe some Klipsch horns it is a great idea
So SIR are thinking outside the MITER BOX ☑️
Nice job! I live n Flint. Yesterday I would have traded for last year’s 24…🤪
I like your content sir, keep it up. You deserve a sub. This jig works on diy table saw that is difficult to calibrate 45° cut. I like it.

Valid point. Luckily I haven't had any issues yet.
