Huge help man. Getting the Golden lever out again after years and you went over everything I forgot about! (especially about making sure bushing and bearing are facing right way), was having trouble finding a walkthrough of all the parts.

Definitely should! Especially with Tekken 8 release, maybe a newbies guide to stick customization. Use the teardown of the golden lever as an example of all the parts of a stick.👍 Would love to see the different types of bushings and actuators and your thoughts on them. @@SaintChanchai

Haven't finished the whole video yet, but you did an excellent job explaining your preference for ball tops and your other tops. Personally, my favorite top now is the Seimitsu Nobi top. While it does add a tad bit of extra throw compared to the bull top, I find it's easier to make tinier movements within the collar than any other top I've ever used, and that's a big thing when I play shmups. I actually think the fact that it's non-recessed works in its favor, especially on medium and heavier tension setups.
The ASI bull top is solid in its own right but I found over time that it was a tad bit harder to hit up motions than it was on Nobi top. Also, I wish the bull top was a bit heavier.
I wouldn't mind trying out the capsule top at some point. I like the top portion of it, and I think it would help for up motions.
By the way, octagonal collars are amazing for shmups and run and guns. It's also excellent for old school sports games that involve a lot of 8-way motion. I'm really happy with it.

From what you are saying, I definitely recommend trying out the Capsule too if you can and even try tuning your Golden Lever in the direction of the Hybrid build to see how that build feels for your use cases 💕
@@SaintChanchai I think the Hybrid setup is really good, but I'd prefer an 11.5mm shaft for short throw. I changed my shaft from 11 to 11.5mm receny. I do like the square collars though. I have experience with using a squircle collar and it's nice.
Btw I own a Rap N K levers will fit fine. This is freaking cool man.

What matters are your preference 🙏🏼
My preference is based on me being used to Japanese style levers and playing Virtua Fighter. My current favorite build (for Virtua Fighter) is:
• Any Top (lately I am using balltop)
• 10.5mm Stainless Steel Shaft
• Squircle Collar
• 13.5mm Core (oversized)
• Default Spring
• GL Black Body
• 40X (Dual Tension) Green Grommet
• 16.5 Black Bearing
• Silver Bushing
• Blood Diamonds (you can use Omron A5 switches)
• 15.5mm spacing
All that said, I really like the Japan Build Golden Lever very much and think it is a wonderful starting point!
