  • Here's a cockpit POV view looking out the front window between me and my buddy Woody as we flew from Falcon Field (FFZ) in Mesa, AZ all the way up the Salt River to Roosevelt Lake. The cockpit intercom audio did not record [insert eye roll emoji here] so I wound up narrating it in the editing process
I want to give a HUGE shout out to the channel members and Patreon patrons who made this flight possible -- I had to rent this helicopter to do the flight and make the video.

    About Me and the Helicopter
    - I have been flying for about 20 years. My nearly 4,000 hours of flight time is in Robinson R44, Robinson R22, and Bell 206L (Long Ranger) helicopters.
    - This helicopter, which is not mine, is a Robinson R44 Raven II. You can learn more about them here: robinsonheli.c... I rented this helicopter for the sole purpose of creating this video for channel members, patrons, and subscribers.
    About the Video
    - For this flight, I set up a pair of GoPro Hero 7 cameras (amzn.to/2Lxyzwl) and a GoPro Hero 8 camera (amzn.to/38GyrWO). One of the Hero 7s should have been connected to the helicopter's intercom system with an NFlightCam audio cable (amzn.to/31syLTm) but I messed up and apparently didn't connect it correctly. The Hero 8, on the nose, did not record because of operator error. So all this video is from one Hero 7. I dialed down the helicopter sound by 10 decibels so it wouldn't be annoying.
    - All cameras should record audio, but for this video I added a narration in the edit stage and dialed down the helicopter sound so you can hear it.
    - The "cockpit cam" front-facing camera was mounted with my current Instrument Cam set up, which you can learn about in this Behind-the-Scenes video: • Behind the Scenes: Coc... . It's based upon a MyPilotPro Helicopter Mount (mypilotpro.com...) modified to get the height I need. The rear facing camera was mounted on the cockpit bubble with a MyPilotPro Spider Swivel GoPro Windshield Mount (www.mypilotpro.... The "nose cam" camera is mounted with a proprietary mounting system.
    - The video was edited on a iMac using Davinci Resolve 16 software. Learn more about it here: www.blackmagic...
Some links on my channel are affiliate links, including all links to Amazon (amzn.to/32PLHTD) and MyPilotPro (mypilotpro.com.... If you click one of them and buy something, I get a small referral reward. It doesn't cost you anything so I hope you'll shop with one of those links.

Check out Cut water Boats. Made in Washington. Think about living aboard, and keeping an apartment or your home. Think about full time living aboard. Decide what you want from cruising. Also as small as your puppies are you vet would have to write a prescription. A compounding pharmacy would then make a liquid that you would give by a dropper. You can get life jackets for them. They have really small ones for pets. Then you would secure them to the cockpit, and where they can also get out of the sun. Also pick up a couple of cruising magazines so you can get ideas of what you might want. Good luck with cherry drying.

Yes, I have done every inch of what you covered either by car, Jeep or motorcycle; but never by air. So this was great. This is the first I have seen of your videos, but I have to say , I sort of enjoyed just the narrative as compared to other "flight" videos that have a lot of chatter and not as much peace of just enjoying the scenery. Thanks.

My sister has a large horse-riding arena on her property, and various groups use it. She has gotten a camera and numerous microphones set-up to film the horses, riders and instructor with sound and pictures. _Everytime_ something goes wrong. She would empathize with you for sure.

been trying to find a video of yours to tell you something Mrs Maria, i watched 3 Videos of the SFAR 73, im not good at picking up on things in videos, but I think all in a nut shell that when training in a helicopter dont do any "Push Overs" cause i wouldn't want to do any Mast Bumping that is what i got out of the three videos i watched, Should I watch more videos about SFAR 73? Mrs Maria doesn't have to answer this, i guess anyone could answer it.
