- Today were looking at the most wicked people in the bible. Pauls statement in 1 Timothy calling himself the worst sinner got me thinking, who was the worst in God’s eyes? I didn’t have to look far to find the history of Israel and Judah was riddled with evil kings and priests, but I settled on these four characters. The most wicked of them all I picked because of a reason you might not expect and there’s an extremely important lesson to learn from them.

I think the King of Tyre in Ezekiel 28:12-19, should have made this list. For that passage in Ezekiel is also used to describe in detail satan the devil himself. The core and foundation of all evil in this world. If you haven’t read that passage, you should. It always runs a chill down my spine.

Even if salvation is rewarded to His people, there is this to consider; some will get a greater reward. Why? but without judas the betrayer there will be no cruxificion. he may be a bad person but he played his role in bringing jesus to the cross to be cruxified so he can be resurrected 3 days later. As jesus said while on the cross "it is finished" His mission accomplished to take all our sins
He doesn't have to betray for Christ to be crucified.
The priests and pharisees are desperate enough to assure that Christ will die, Judas only made the work easy for them.
And good thing coming out of an evil action isn't a justification for it.

In order to show an example to his followers that we must love and serve each other no matter the circumstances. Jesus said in Matthew 26: "The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who BETRAYS the Son of Man. It would be better for him if he had not been born". So love each other and stay faithful ❤️
I am not sure there is anywhere it says that it had to be Judah, there could have been other candidates for the deed. Also, given the power of Jesus enemies, they could have easily hired someone to help trace Jesus whereabouts for his arrest

No matter the format- truth of worldly pursuits generally ends in very untimely and unfavorable ends.
As for Judas- I always feel bad for him tbh.
A man who literally got a seat and even a hug more than likely by Yeshua HIMSELF- gave that up for money.
And then- worst still (or so I’ve heard, I haven’t gotten to that part yet so I may be wrong entirely) he seemed to realize what he did and felt immense regret. But of course, he couldn’t undo what he did.
And in that grief, knowing what he’d done, gave into that grief and took his own life… a tragic thing indeed because…. Again- after all he’d been through- and being there first hand- did he not stop to ask for forgiveness? Did he not look up and beg our Father to forgive the terrible thing he’d done?
Yeshua came for all our sins, even his- but he lost faith hard enough to take his own life- and the with it the very gift Yeshua gave to him.
Honestly, I feel so sorry for him. To know how bad he felt to want to end his pain… had he held on. Had he waited just a few days more- how wonderful could he have felt when he’d look to Yeshua AFTER DEATH, and Yeshua look at him and say, should he have repented, “You are forgiven.”
Wicked… yeah. But I only see one of the greatest tragedies in history. Just because of HOW LITERALLY CLOSE he’d been to Yeshua.

Judas's betrayal was needed for Jesus to die for our sins. Jesus spoke about forgiveness and it is one of the commandments he gave us. I believe Judas would have been the first person Jesus would have forgiven after his resurrection.

Judas not only witnessed miracles but he performed them. Jesus sent the disciples out in twos and they healed people and cast out demons.
This wasn't a simple misunderstanding. Jesus said it would be better for Judas if he was never born. Strong words.
Idk if I give Judas the crown of most evil. Though he may have deceived the other disciples he did not full Jesus himself. From the beginning Jesus knew who he was walking with. I think Judas is one proof just like some things the other disciples did, that no matter how close we feel we are to Christ… our flesh can still overcome us. I believe Judas really was manipulated and only expected Jesus to be locked up which is more than likely what he was told. Because if that were not the case I don’t think he would have felt as much guilt as he felt once he realized what was really happening to Jesus. Hence why he gave back the pay and commitment suicide. But Peter also betrayed Jesus and denied him not once but three whole times! Judas certainly shouldn’t have done what he did but I surely believe he was played.

In reality, Judas probably did not become a disciple of Jesus with bad intentions from the beginning. He represents modern day Jews, he thought the messiah would be a political leader who would come to establish a "Jewish kingdom" on Earth. But upon realizing that his hope was in vain, he felt betrayed, which would explain why he ultimately betrays him.
And as for spreading the bread on the wine, he probably did it automatically as soon as the wine arrived; he was absorbed in his own thoughts about the betrayal, which ended up giving him away to the other disciples.
Without Judus would we have redemption. I think he had a role to play and he played it.
Should take a much closer look at Judas. There is a very strong case to be made that he very much loved Jesus and deeply mourned.

No, that’s incorrect. He didn’t try to repent, he just regretted what he did. There’s a big difference. Check out John MacArthur’s sermons on Judas to see why Judas never repented.
I will not judge any of those described in the Bible. Because I look at myself and see the biggest sinner of all. And do not understand why Jesus died for me. But I am grateful

Hmmm i would have thought number 1 would be the beast of Revelation. Revelation makes it clear that the beast is not just a man, but one who has already lived and who has died.
It says that he was and is not and shall ascend up out of the bottomless pit. Meaning he was alive, he has died, and he shall come back to life from hell. The beast's prophet is similarly a man who once lived, who died, who shall come back to life. One is from the sea and the other from the earth. Both metaphors for the grave.
The image of the beast having a fatal wound but yet recovering and the beast and his prophet being cast live into the lake of fire as all whose names are not written in the book of life, makes be think that they are resurrected beings.
Edit: I also forgot. The beast(and his prophet) were evil in life and were sent to hell and are suffering there(and they've more than likely heard the gospel, and quite possibly heard it from Jesus Himself). When they come back they shall magnify their evil to be the greatest human sinner in all of history.

It was his choice to play that role, anyone else could have played it or even another way could have been provided
God can manipulate satan to fulfill prophecies, and he used judas to fulfill his plan for Jesus so we can all be saved from the past, present and future

Did Judas have free will though? His actions were foretold, which means that his future was predicted. That suggests that his course was set and he did not have free will. His actions were needed to fulfill the prophecy for the ultimate sacrifice to be made . He committed suicide after he betrayed Jesus, is it possible that his freewill was temporarily suspended? Christians say that God is all knowing and all powerful so this means he knows the future? If he does, how do any of us have free will?
My science-based engineer boyfriend brought this arguement up with me and it's bothered me ever since. I've looked over scriptures and there are plenty that suggest that God does not know the future, and seems to be responding to things happening in present time....but then there are a ton of verses that are prophetic so that suggests that he does know the future and if that's the case then how is it possible that we have free will?

God knows everything. But that doesn't mean he dictates how we live, we have free weill. It's a like a parent who has an addicted young adult, they know the consequences and since their child's young age, parents tried to guide them at the right path in vain. If the young adult chose the addiction and gets consequences that parents predicted, it's not the fault of the parent.
So, the prophecy was there but it did not say that it had to be Judas, there were alternative people or ways to arrest Jesus but Judah chose to be the channel even if he regreted after
@@RomansTenNine10-09 That's a reasonable conclusion but biblical prophecy is often very precise, and if something is prophetic then that course of action is set, meaning free will is not an option. If God KNOWS what you will decide before you make the decision, then it was never your decision because there is no option for another choice, therefore, your course is set. I have agonized over this dilemma for weeks now, I almost considered becoming a nihilist over this and another issue (having to do with prophetic bloodlines of the messiah not adding up) but I feel like there must be a viable answer. Your example about the drug addicted son/daughter is that the parent might say, "Someday you could overdose" is different than saying, "You will overdose" or "Your relationships will all almost certainly be impacted" vs "You will lose all your significant relationships".
@@asiakym I understand what you mean but I also would like to clarify that it is not the prohecy that binds us to choices but rather it is our future choices that bind our prophecy. That is why in many prohecies, there is always a way out provided but us heardening our hearts we stick to our bad decisions. Let's the example of the Angel who became the devil, God knew before he created him that if given free will, the devil despite knowing, hearing and seeing everything God was capable of doing or didi, he would be nevertheless become rebellious and some people and other angels would follow the same path. God could have created robots to bend them to his will but then that would have not been Just or Righteous. Given his nature, God did, does and will always do the right thing even if no one would be there to judge him. Thus, he created beings with free will to share his wonderful kingdom with everyone who was interested and as for those who reject his Righteousness and other character of his then they would automatically live forever in its opposite(hell-just a global word to encompass all the consequences of Real Justice to those who chose Bad over Good)

I personally disagree that Judas was the 'most evil' because if that hadn't been done Jesus wouldn't have died and shed his blood for our sins. In our eyes there are different levels of evil but in God's eyes the moral standard is perfection, anything aside from perfection is utterly evil, therefore we are all evil but made clean through Christ. Ofc there are other ways of handing Jesus over to die for our sins, but Judas happened to be the one that allowed the will of God to be completed, so everything that happens in this world is either in God's permissible or directive will. Through Judas's unbelief and betrayal allowed for Jesus to die and resurrect so he can intercede for us forever.
That is like saying those who killed the Disciples and other believers are not evil because they helped fulfill the prophecies. Unless prophecies had specific names of people in them, there could have been other alternatives for prophecies to happen without those specific people

Judas later hung himself for this. Committing sin isn't making a covenant. A covenant involves a vow, it most often carries a death sentence for the one who breaks it, and at its highest form it is an agreement that everything one party has belongs to the other party and everything that the other party has belongs to the first party.

Judas repented of the sin of betraying Jesus. That's why he brought the money back to the leaders. Judas never believed John 6:64. Thats why he wasnt saved. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Once saved always saved

4:38 Once again, you're leaving out crucial parts of this story. In brief, Elisha the prophet sent a young child to anoint a general named Jehu with oil, proclaiming him to be the new king of Israel. He also added that Jehu should destroy the house of Ahab (which meant killing everybody related to Ahab, including his children) and killing Jezebel. His men ribbed him, stating that it had to be some kind of joke. But Jehu saw it differently. He took the boy at his word and set out to fulfill this "prophecy". When he was seen approaching Jezreel, two messengers were sent out to question him. They did not return. Finally, Joram, Jezebel's son, and Ahazian, another king, went out to meet Jehu. After Jehu insulted Jezebel, Joram was shot and killed and his body thrown onto Naboth's former plot. Ahaziah was shot also...for reasons, I suppose. When Jezebel heard this, she came to the window and her own people defenestrated her. Jehu left her body lying there, went into the house, ate her food. After a while, he may have felt remorse and ordered her body to be buried. But by that time the wild dogs had eaten her, leaving nothing but her skull, hands and feet.
But Jehu wasn't finished! Ahab had 70 sons in the city of Samaria. Jehu sent a note to the guardians of Ahab's sons, asking that they take the best and fittest of the children, fit him out as suited a king's son and send him to take the throne after Jezebel's death. But news had reached the Samarians about what had happened to Jezebel and Jehu and they didn't trust this apparently friendly message. When they sent a message sub rosa asking what Jehu REALLY wanted, he replied with a very different message. He commanded these guardians to slaughter all 70 sons. Fearing for their lives, they did so, decapitated the unfortunate children and left their heads in baskets at the gates of Jezreel.
Jehu spoke to the people stating, "You know what I've done (killed the royal heads of the country). But look what these bastards did to these innocent kids!" Then he told his men, "Saddle up, boys. We're going to sack Samaria!" They went to Samaria and killed all of Ahab's great men (advisors, I guess?), closest friends and his priests.
But wait! There's more! Jehu then returned to Jezreel, got his men to kill all the remaining of Ahab's kinfolk and tricked priests and worshippers of Baal into coming forward so he could kill them as well. For all this slaughter that destroyed worshippers of Baal, the royal house of Ahab and, well, anybody who would challenge the reign of the one "true" god, Jehu was rewarded with the throne of Israel and promised his descendants would rule it for four generations.
Jehu was a terrific guy, wasn't he? Well, not according to the bible. After he was planted on the throne, "Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel to sin." So, as usual, god got rid of people he thought were complete jerks only to replace them with folks who were no better. So who comes out on top in this litany of vengeance, manslaughter, infanticide and regicide? Oh, right. Lord Vengeance, the one true whatever.
Oh please, God gives people chances, one would think by now that people like you would realise that we all are just human, so every chance that is given we are expected to change, to be better, take a look at David's story despite his sin he was still considered after God's heart cos he changed, Jehu didnt, dont blame God for giving people chances,

When I make commentary on the bible, I'm doing so in the nature of literary criticism not arguing the existence of a god. I speak of mythology because one man's religion is another man's myth or superstition. When you're an atheist, they're all superstitions.
Then dont make criticism using the bible, if you dont believe there will be other things for proof for your own satisfaction, using the bible to criticise Christianiy doesnt hold water when you lack in depth understanding of it.
@@Karlkenington I can make all the comments about it that I want because, as I've stated, I'm making a literary critique. I've read the bible cover to cover and found passages that were contradictory, moral lessons that were questionable or vile and stories that made no sense whatsoever if you were to take them literally. This is an open platform free for any debate that doesn't violate the rules and NO ONE gets to tell me not to vent my opinions simply because I disagree or deny the subject at hand.

Except for instances of murder, most of the accusations of "evil" against some of these people stems from the fact that they worshipped "false" gods instead of the one "true" god. But these gods weren't false to them. Polytheism was the norm for that point in history. If anything, they saw worship of this one god as the blasphemy against THEIR gods; it would make sense to have its prophets punished by expulsion, exile or death. There are cultures today that worship multiple gods. The Chinese and Japanese, e.g., have pantheons of multiple gods. Hinduism is the oldest extant polytheism still in practice, having been around for 8,000 years, making it older than Judaism, Christianity or Islam. Are these people wicked for not worshipping Yahweh, Jehovah or Allah?
Monotheism is relatively new on the scene, being only about 2,000 years old. Even during this brief period, its followers began to squabble with each other, arguing about what their "god" intended for them. Contemporary Christianity has 33,000 denominations, many with creeds that drastically contradict with those of others. Some Christian religions forbid dancing; one commands its practitioners to handle snakes; others frown on homosexuality while others are tolerant of it. Each denomination thinks it's the one true faith. Are all the others evil blasphemers?
IF there is one truly evil character in the bible, it's the supposed one true god. According to your own video, he sent a famine for 3 1/2 years on an innocent people just because they worshipped another god than himself. Think of all the innocent men, women and children who died as a result of that. He sent a flood to drown all of mankind save for eight people. He has sent plagues, earthquakes, famines, pestilences and randomly struck people dead. And what was his reason? People worshipped other gods than himself or he was testing their faith or he was calling in a marker. And Jezebel is wicked because she was sexy and worshipped Baal? Maybe they abused their powers as ambitious kings and queens. But god is supposed to be higher than mere mortals yet his behavior is thousands of times worse.
The so called “Christian” sects you mentioned in your statement are not “true” Christian beliefs, according to the canon of scripture. Those are more like cults. So please don’t lump them into true biblical Christianity. Also, all of those other “religions,” all have one thing in common. Every single one of them, depends on “self” and or “works” to enter their own perceived state of “heaven/paradise” or whatever. They are always having to “work” till the end to find their “salvation.” Christianity is the only belief where Jesus did all the work for us! We don’t have to do anything but believe that He died for our sins; that He rose again conquering death; that He will come again for His church and that He, God and The Holy Spirit are ONE! That it. Easy. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to eternal salvation. Period.

As for the myth of Jesus dying for your sins, I really don't understand that. According to the mythology, he suffered for six days (there are people with cancers who suffer for far longer than that), died for three days and rose from the dead with more superpowers than ever. So he basically gave up a weekend to become even stronger. Where is the sacrifice in that? The notion that we need do nothing to ensure our place in a mythical heaven doesn't jibe with reality either. Most so-called Christians work at jobs, go to their places of worship, give tithes and relate in some way to their fellow human beings, just like almost everybody else on earth. The people who lie back and do nothing and yet reside in an abode and live their lives are either infants, the very old, the comatose, the severely handicapped or deadbeats. Are these folks automatically going to heaven when they die? And how does their faith have anything to do with their actual living conditions?

You’re basically asking what happens to a person who never heard the gospel? Good question. So, Romans teaches that God will judge people on what they know and are capable of knowing. We can know right and wrong and know there is one true God. Job did, Jethro did and many others, some more not directly and indirectly. All can instinctively know his moral code and know they have sinned, as Paul writes they are "without excuse." Because we are made in His image and have a moral likeness built in.
The Bible explains how God has given each person a natural law; a general understanding of right and wrong. This is evident in the fact that all people are endowed with a conscience. Every society, culture and person develop some type of a moral code that they judge others and themselves by. The remains of the conscience or marred but not destroyed, it still operates in us. We can know even by instinct what are the standards of truth coming from God. The Gentiles or unbeliever is able to know and keep some of the moral law because they are made in the image of God.
Second, mathematician Paschal was right. God dwells in enough light so that if we want to find it, we will. And he dwells in enough obscurity so that if we don't want to find him, we won't. So if they respond in Hong Kong or Africa or Vietnam or anywhere else to the light of creation, and the light of conscience, then they will get further light. But if they do not then they will remain in darkness.
The way Jesus explained this to Nicodemus, and He’s the ultimate authority, He said light came into darkness, men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. So the problem wasn't enough light, it’s than people love darkness.
Again, unknowing we’re made in the image of God. Humans know the difference between right and wrong. Period. We all have a will to live with eternity in our hearts. Our conscious knows “good vs evil.” Every society, every culture and every tribe knows this, so they can be without excuse.

Without Adam's sin entering the world, there is no wickedness, death, misery and all the iniquities that pollute human hearts, which eventually leads even to the death of the Messiah. Adam had it all, eternal life, perfection, spiritual oneness with God, paradise...... what didn't God give to him?
