@@Sam_50210I killed him today with double scimitars with sepuku, you need to hit fast and deal tons of damage, that’s a safe way to kill him, took me like 10-15 tries.

I just beat him about an hour ago. I'd say im a sub par player, and it took me about 38 tries. Very very impressive.

I‘m kind of a mid maybe above average player and idk I beat him second try with the backhand blades… Maybe they are just broken but I was/am very unsatisfied with how easy he was unfortunately. Maybe it was just lucky try as he didn‘t even do the move where he just spams his both snakes second phase

@redline841 not to be a dick but this applies to me too but it seems you can dodge all of his attacks. You can dodge the blasts and snake attacks if you time it right. The real problem comes from the lack of vigor and stamina if you aren't ready for it.

i just beaten him acouple of minuets ago and i feel hollow and joyful at the same time,
I feel you. That's why after learning thru the base game experience, I don't wanna "cheese" the bosses too easy. Otherwise I would miss the frustration and joy upon achieving it. I even explored all of the area first and farming around. I don't wanna this good DLC dream euphoria prematurely ended.
This DLC is noticeably significantly harder than the base game. I’m on Mesmer now but have not been able to kill a single boss without a summon. Each boss prior to Mesmer has killed me 60+ times and Mesmer himself has killed me over 100+ times. I am not making any progress either. He kills me in 10-20 seconds every single time. I don’t consider myself a bad player, I’ve 100% Base Elden ring, Sekiro, Lies of P, and Bloodborne but this is just insanity.. I’m not sure if I can play the DLC until they do something about the difficulty and not being 1-2 shot by basic mobs. I’m trying soooo hard to enjoy the DLC but it’s almost unplayable
It’s supposed to be like that, they went for a more dark souls playstyle than Elden ring on the dlc which I find nice, base game was to easy.
@@FrostyIgnition the dlc makes strength builds useless imo. All these bosses are way to fast to land an attack animation without trading damage using any build besides dex. I had to swap my strength build I’ve been using from the start into a dex/faith build because I literally couldn’t land a single clean attack as a strength build. Idk bro.. I shouldn’t have to respec my build just to have a fighting chance in the DLC. All builds should be viable
Are u in a NG+? I'm on NG+2 and this shit is hard, but people going in from base game is not too bad i see
I only have 2 bosses left all done with a strength faith build. Gotta be patient and after you die a few times you learn when to roll. Git gud
I am a Strength/Faith build on NG+4 and I see where you’re coming from when it comes to the bosses being too fast and your strength weapon too slow. However, I still found the bosses very doable as long as your run is as close to perfect as can be. I’m using a Heavy Giant crusher for reference.

I actually managed to defeat him first time, but it took nearly all my Estus Flasks. He does a ton of damage in that snake form and it is difficult to avoid his attacks. Very impressive work indeed!

1:42 Does anyone know if there’s an indication on whether he does the delayed or quick back swing? I always get caught by it because I never know if it’s gonna be delayed or not. I feel like it’s always a literal 50/50 on that attack

At least 500 attempts (could be less to a hundred if you pour your life into it, no other stuff to do). Did it few times with Malenia and Radagon.

Absolutely bullied, meanwhile here i am getting wrecked repeatedly by this guy. Only gotten to phase 2 once after like half a dozen attempts.

Full tree sentinel armor, fingerprint shield with flame art for 100% fire mitigation, and your choice of staff spamming glintstone icecrag. I summoned my mimic with a seal in the left hand so it can heal/buff when it wants.
Basically just juggled aggro the whole fight, only attack I had to worry about was the unblockable grab which doesn't come out too often as you don't need to really worry about distance.
Just block until he gets pissed off enough at the mimic to turn around and repeat. Didn't even get hit this final attempt until phase two with him having like an 8th of his health left. Mimic survived the whole fight too.
I beat him on ng2 with great glintstone shard spamming from far away while I let my summon and the quest npc aggro him. Could also possibly spam Rannis Moon spells at him, hits for like 4-5k each with my shadow upgrade at (8).
@nosleepforme2242 what npc are you talking about as I don't have the option for one but it would be handy as my mimic tear just walks around while I get slaughtered
@@willzy9461 One of the NPC's has a summon sign in the arena you can interact with to bring them in mid fight.
It didn't appear for me either, NPC showed up after the fact whining about how he wasn't able to enact their revenge or whatever.
Messmer: I will not suffer a lord devoid of light.
Tarnished: Then come forward Messmer. I promise you won't suffer for long.
Also did Messmer curse his mother as he died?

try lightroll or quickstep to learn his moveset. I was getting smoked too fast to make progress but threw on quickstep to learn the moves than took it off & beat him with lightroll & keen backhand blades, scarlet rot grease

Surprised you didn’t use dancer charm with no armor, wouldn’t need the defense if you don’t plan on getting hit and you’d have more damage. Great video regardless!

From his hp I’m guessing this is not ng+, bro in ng+3 my 1500 damage was looking like ur 600 damage on boss hp, took me god knows how many tries without ashen summons, gg nonetheless
