There is a correction in the application about the biometric. We should always select yes for for biometric within last 10 year question because everyone gives biometric before coming to canada so make sure you all put yes for that answer as if you don’t do so and put No in that answer than you gonna end-up with paying $85extra then the application fee which is useless because we all are already done with that. I hope this comment will help someone.

Hi Canada is not a designated country so in that question we have to select no instead of yes. Be careful!

Why do we need to select NO for biometrics? We have given our fingerprints in our home country. The site asks have you given biometrics in the past 10 years?

I recently got my PGWP, and I'm currently applying from within Canada for a TRV visa. My wife came along with me when I was on my study permit, and she has a SOWP that will expire on September 30, 2022. She is currently working under Noc A profession within Canada. While attempting to answer the following questionnaire, I'm becoming confused.
Are you are a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a person who:
- Holds a Work Permit for a job in National Occupation Classification O, A, B;
- Holds a study permit and is a full-time student at a university, community college, CÉGEP or other authorized educational institution;
- Holds a Temporary Resident Permit that is valid for six months or more;
- Applied for Permanent Residence to an office in Canada and was determined to be eligible for Permanent Resident status (first stage approval)
- Is subject of a removal order that is unenforceable.
What shall I choose out of Yes or No? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

There are no mandatory requirements for biometrics that Government changed recently… You don’t need to give biometrics if you gave them already in past 10 years. In the questionnaire Keerthi says NO, when the biometrics question is asked. Just keep YES and you will save $85CAD. 😂

Hey dear i have very important questions i will be glad if you will reply. My husband’s TRV application for work permit visa got canceled not refused. He have his work permit document. But TRV application got canceled and he got application fees refund. He applied in jan2021 and it got canceled in june2021. Meanwhile he applied for pr application in May2021. So can you suggest what will be the reason? If PR application might be the reason or something else? What should we do next?
If your husband got the fees back he can apply again. What reason did cic mention to cancel his application?

You can get your fee receipt from your account under work permit application and it is used to submit proof of fee exemption

My spouse the main applicant got his visa first
then I applied for mine and got a 5 year visa
make sure you include all the docs related to your spouse in the app
and I have realized that it’s always a good idea to write a cover letter
