Well, that was, as you say, was a very good example of the rise & fall of the U Boat. Although this one had a bit more fall than rise! 😮 Interesting to hear how Kramer finished his war.

Must be rough, one of the sub's first kills being a friendly fire.
What are the odds that a sub like U-333 would encounter a captured U-Boat reused by the enemy? (Also neat to see a sequel to a previous Unclassified Encounter real life trivia tale.)
Fair amount of Allied aircraft shot down during its hunts, I see.
In XCOM speak, this was one interesting Ironman run.

I’m sure it was U333 took a bearing submerged off the wrong landmark and ended up, up the Solent! After establishing their correct position they made a hasty retreat.
