What kind of fish would be around a pier like this during this time of the year?? Anything can happen when you're fishing in the saltwater.. I did not expect for this to happen..

I see that you reel it in a lot and have the line right. When you do that it makes the fish swim in a unnatural way and usually goes to the very top of the water . Whenever I pop the popping cork I let out line right after. Also you can pop it every 30 seconds. Popping constantly is usually for lures. With live bait you don’t have to do it as much or at all to be honest. But every 15 seconds to 1 min seems to be the best.

In my opinion for speckle trout or any trout u gotta keep it moving like pop pop pop pop because if you dont those sail cats will get you but for like reds or just anything else u can just leave it pop and then just leave it

You should do a toad fish catch and cook. They look ugly but you skin them like a catfish and cut off two nice pieces of meat that resemble chicken breast. Good eats!
