I remember passing the old Palace Theater back in the 80's coming from school and marveling at the movie posters. Progress is the name of the game, sad to see the old building go but we must move forward.
I am so happy that downtown is now on the move back to its former glory..
My childhood theater is gone,but I can take solace in the fact that,the only thing that remains constant is change and Kingston is changing Rush.

I'm pleased they're retaining the original facade. I remember going to the palace, as a child, to watch the matinee.
In my opinion what makes a beautiful city is a good mix of old well preserved buildings and new modern architecture. I hope they do keep the old facade. Look at all the great cities in the world. London. France new york, have a great mix of old and new.

That mean it was there before the Harbor View residential development.....I lived at H/View as baby, I'm now in my sixties.
There will be a 10 floor parking garage and another 10 floor boj twin tower

That Palace construction site would be a good candidate for a drone time lapse video. What's especially interesting about it is how they're keeping the old cinema facade.
It's good to see downtown being revitalized and also good to see so many container ships. I counted about a dozen in or near the harbour. Kingston harbour is starting to look like Hong Kong or Singapore with so much container ship traffic.

It would be so good if a web camera is mounted at the post office in order to view the construction live.
I'm seeing my old high school North Street Kingston College (Fortis)......cricket being played. I would've prefered 20-stories, upwards for the new buildings going up & away from the waterfront (ideal locations like this BPO). But I guess the investors may not have the funds to take on such projects, I hope is not the other way around ......i.e. stifled skyline visions.
I'm also seeing a glimpse of junior KC as well, Melbourne Park.....still remember my days of attending my high school....The College....like it was yesterday...sigh!

BPO is disappointing, was hoping for something more interesting. That being said it looks like this might be an area where more things are going to pop up. Happy they're at least keeping the wall.
