DIMASH IS DIMAHS 100% THE BEST VOICE IN THE WORD
This was Dimash's first solo concert in Kazakhstan Bastau 2017. Sold out tickets for over 30000 attendees. People flew in from China, Russia and other countries to see him perform. He has performed the Diva Dance many times and all are great. The duet.with Li Yugang is something you must watch. In 2019 and already you can see his vocal maturity and greater depth in both low notes and high. You also get a whistle note in this one. I would love to hear the Diva Dance in 2021 as his voice is even more astonishing today. Ah well, unless he sings it during the Chinese New Year festivities, we won't see it this year as he is tied up in a Chinese reality series for a few months.

Here he is performing during his first solo concert Bastau, in Kazakhstan 2017, after returning from The Singer competition in China. He is always so much more relaxed in his own concerts.

Yep, one more interesting and different version exists. It is the one he sings with Li Yuan, a Chinese opera singer. It is also combined with another song, similar to the Confessa pairing. He also hits a higher whistle note in that performance. Besides Li Yuan is a trip to watch/hear.

You should check Dimash singing with chinese opera singer Li Yuan the song Drunken Concubine and Diva Dance. Li Yuan is an eastern opera singer that is well known in China for his female roles in the chinese opera.
I watched Fifth Element Diva Dance today, Dimash demolishes this in comparison to the movie, watch back to back to compare. Thanks for watching this so quickly, I do love Confessa, and The Singer competition performance was good, but his lows are much lower in Bastau and the run in contrast with the staccato notes, this for me kills the movie version ❤️

Yes, it was his first concert few months after the competition in China. If my information is acurate, his government which is very proud of him helped organized this event. He invited some performers like Terry Lin from Taiwan and a fellow contestant in China, a lady from the UK, another lady who was a champion in a eurovision contest, and a pretty lady from Russia.
His massive sell out stadium solo concert from Kazakhstan with 40,000 fans. All his concerts are sold out, he will be touring in 2022 starting in Dusseldorf in April if you want to see him live ❤

This version is also closer the the original key (from the movie) only a half step lower. The original high note was F#6, in this version it was F6. The "I'm a Singer" competition version was a lower key than this one. There is also a version from a concert where he does a high ascending whistle in place of the vocal run, sadly I don't have a link to that one. The "Drunken Concubine" mentioned in other comments is a mash up of the two songs which is fun to hear also but keep in mind it is a duet with two songs together much like Confessa/Diva Dance was and Dimash also hits the ascending whistle in that version as well.
The whistle is in the Shenzen performance.

So Amazing
One of the most beautiful performances to me is Autumn Strong from Kiev. He has a way of doing the same song but making it more beautiful as time goes on. Also, Know from Kiev where there are no lyrics, just his voice and it is mesmerizing.

That is his concert, he had being singing for 2 hours when he sang that. He was pressured-free since that was not a competition. If you watch the whole concert is amazing

Вы совершенно правы, Димаш здесь - хозяин сцены, это первый крупномасштабный (более 30тыс поклонников из разных стран мира) сольный концерт "Бастау", что на казахском языке означает "Начало", который прошёл в Астане Этот концерт состоялся после I'm Singer в июне 2017, имел грандиозный успех.

Sick and tired? If u wanna hear, how he sounds when he lost his voice, try Daybreak at the Singer competition, with the story behind, where he completely lost his voice the day before the performance. He was rushed to the hospital, where he got couple of injection shots straight into his throat 🥺 after that u can go for the same song at Bastau concert, where he sings this song with full power 😁😁😁😁

Dimash is truly a one of a kind singer. I have never heard another male singer like him. Thank You for your reaction. I wanted to share with you that another out of this world singer named Diana Ankudinova is now on a Russian TV show releasing a new song every week. Her first song from this show is the most impressive in my opinion. Her rendition of the Elvis Presley song. "I Can Help Falling In Love With You" I would love to hear your reaction to this song. I hope the world will get to know this young lady better. Diana has excellent subtitles of each of these new songs on her own You Tube page. Please stay safe.
Maybe the energy feels different because it's his own concert ♥ he's not under any pressure, he has fun :-) ♥ he loves his audience ♥ there are videos where his microphone fails, he handles it very well (I want to no microphone with this voice either) LOL ♥ he just sings without further ♥ ... Dimash always communicates love and peace ... and is a proud young man who loves his country everywhere, only that he knows that every single one of his fans this supports and thus expresses complete acceptance, but he loves his fans (DEAR`S) even more ♥ I love him too - so much ♥
It is his first solo show. 40,000 in the audience. Only 500 in the audience at The Singer competition, (who are all judges from the music industry btw)

Thanks for your reaction, it's not only the run that makes this version better. Here the staccatos are much cleaner, the lower note in his head voice at the beginning is weaker in the previous version, and in the ascendant glissando one can barely hear the lowest notes in the previous version. Here you can hear everything, from the lowest vocal fry till the highest head voice note.
I agree the two performances are very different and both have their own charms. There are other versions, including a duet that is interesting as well with Li Yugang.
This was at his own solo concert in Kazakhstan with a huge audience, so he is definitely in his element (no pun intended 😁). He is so much freer in his solo shows. I hope I live long enough to experience it in person one day!

Stranger, Olimpico, Across Endless Dimensions, SOS (Slavic Bazaar), Sinful Passion, Your Love, Love of Tired Swans are just a few must listen songs, he has some more pop like songs too but I recommend these first!

Good reaction! I agree with you. Maybe this perfomance is more sharp and clear but I think confessa + Diva Dance is very original, suprise, but well-combined composition.

Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance is another performance worth watching. It's... odd, to Western ears. Dimash is paired with a Chinese opera singer (Chinese opera is not the same as Western opera - the parts all are sung by males).

Oh, and in that performance, Dimash produces a note in the 7th octave, a note that isn't even on the piano. Who *does* that? In a live performance, no less. It is not his highest note, though.
His highest note that I know about was delivered during a performance in China, of the song 'Unforgettable Day.' He hit a D in the 8th Octave. That performance is better known.

There are a few other videos on RUclips that feature Dimash's throat whistle. Nobody seems to know exactly how he's producing those high notes. I have a theory, but it's contradicted by other opinions. The central question is whether his larynx is engaged at all. I think not. Others disagree.
Dimash might have answered that question at some point, but if he has, the answer hasn't appeared in English, so far as I am aware. If any Kazakh or Russian speakers know, please share what he said!

yes this is better and I don't remember if the Bastau concert was one or two years later than "the singer" so he had time to improve his performance and that pentatonic run he added was fantastic(and not easy at all) but this is Dimash he is always rising the bar. Stay safe

Yeah, it is his on concert and by the way he performed sick on "Singer" (I don't remember the name too shhhhh) it would awsome if you react to his performance in China and than on his concert (Bastau) the song is Daybreak (good to read the subtitles, it is a very sad song) 🥰🇧🇷
I’ve watched him from the beginning. I think his best performances are his concerts. There he’s free to move and he is involved with the production and the music. You see the difference. Sinful passion, daybreak, and others feel different but they’re not.
I highly recommend an even better version of Diva dance. It is the Diva Dance/Drunken Concubine duet with Li Yugang. Longer and better performance. Trust me.

This performance was a half step higher, I believe, from the Singer version.
You should totally react to Dimash singing diva dance/drunken concubine with Li Yugang, who is really famous in China for singing female operatic roles in Chinese opera, and is also an amazing (and unusual) vocalist. I think you will enjoy this performance very much. It’s intriguing in both technicality and artistry.
You should hear the Diva Dance duet he does in Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance. It has a surprise in it. I won’t spoil it.

In his performance his vocal control is far better and more stable vocally. You can clearly see improvement in technique.
There is another version...a fan recording where he includes a whistle note...i believe at the point you refer to where the computer is supposed to take over
As stated elsewhere, he did "Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance". Angelina Jordan did a cover of "I Who Have Nothing" at six years old, sounding like a singer at the end of a thirty year career. You should also check out "Murder Song 54321" by Aurora, live at the Noble Peace Prize Concert. She doesn't sing Rock or Metal, that I've ever heard, but this self taught singer will draw you in. And last, which should probably be done first is the cover of "Oogie Boogie Song" from The Nightmare Before Christmas by Voiceplay, because it is perfect for Halloween.

This version is closest to the original. I like the Singer version slightly more b/c I likewise enjoy the mix and contrast with Confessa. Later he apparently started finding this song too easy and he started adding a high whistle at one point, I guess to make it ‘more’ challenging, ha! There’s also a “Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance” duet version with Li Yugong (Yugang? Not sure how it’s transliterated) which is interesting.

A few folks mentioned another version of the divs dance. The performance he does with Li Yugang (veteran of Beijing opera) is so unique it won't feel repetative. It is mixed within the song Drunken Concubine (a Li Yugang staple). It is a fantastic exploration of western vocalizations and Beijing opera styles. If you wanna check out Nicola Sedda. He has bigger vocal range than Dimash. Actually his highest note is F10. That makes him the singer with the biggest voice in the world. Because his vocal range is (C1-F10). Scientists even say that the highest note that an ordinary person can make is up to F10. If you don't believe me, watch the video on his RUclips channel, where he demonstrates his entire vocal range. Initially, start with the song "The Miracle". You will ask why I tell you all this, because you are a fan of rock music, and he himself is a rock star, because sometimes in some of his videos he makes the devil horn sign, and in all of his songs you will hear incredible heavy guitar playing, but sometimes his voice changes from rock singing to high classical or opera singing. which even goes beyond the limit of normal singing. The music he makes is the style of bands like Rush, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Dream Theater and others. I hope you like and enjoy Nicola Sedda vocal range.
