I was so confused on whether or not the pot has water in it to make the yogurt. I assume because the moisture content has to be only provided for the yogurt itself but needed clarification! And your yogurt looks fantastic and thanks for brand name dropping too!

    Hi! Thanks for sharing this😀 For the sour cream that you mention at the end, at what point in the process do you strain it? After the yogurt is fully made and refrigerated? Please explain. And if you have another video about that, please let me know. Thanks!🙏🏼

    • @Cook2Nourish
      @Cook2Nourish  3 года назад +1

      Yes anytime after the yoghurt is made, you can then strain it through a cheese cloth or a fine mesh strainer and after all the water gets drained, it will get even thicker. And you can use it like sour cream as is or again keep in fridge for 30 mins to 1 hour for it to thicken and then use.

      hi yes you can. You just need to keep it in a warm place (around 80-90 F). You can preheat your oven at the lowest setting and then turn it off. Then keep this inside. If you live in a warm place with room temperatures around 80 F then you don't need to do this. Hope this helps.

      No I am using the same product. It is Aroy-D coconut milk which comes in cartons. However, since posting this recipe, I have realized that Aroy-D does have some additives although their labeling states only coconut milk. That's why I only recommend Native Forest Organic Simple now. Hope that helps.

    Thank you for your lovely recipe. So easy and so much cheaper than buying coconut milk yogurt in the store! I did some googling and found that xanthan gum is a substitute for arrowroot flour. It has 7g carbs and 7g fiber/T for a net carb count of 0. Whereas, arrowroot flour has 7g carbs and 0g fiber/T for a net carb count of 7. Have you ever tried making this with xanthan gum? Trying to cut carbs for a keto diet and I already have xanthan gum in my pantry. Thanks in advance!

    • @Cook2Nourish

      Thank you for your comment. I try to avoid using xanthan gums or other similar gums since they also aggravate leaky gut and thereby aggravate autoimmune disease. That's why these gums are not allowed on AIP. But thank you for sharing.
