Escapes charges? I mean, you just got hit, and the two witnesses followed the assailant to the point where they stoped… had she just stop after the incident, she could have gotten a ticket and life moved on…but no she fled, went home, went inside her home THEN CAME BACK OUT WITH A GUN…. Stay inside, call the cops and make sure they don’t come to you. She had a gun, she could have stayed inside…
When it came to her losing her life… it’s not great… but to insinuate he needed to sympathize with her being a woman… that’s insane… why would anyone need to sympathize with her…

NEVER go home when you are being followed. Drive straight to a police station. Otherwise you are leading people directly to where you live. And even if they don't do anything at that time...they can always sneak in later while you're sound asleep.

The level of rage which lives within the souls of some in the USA is a sad indicator that many human beings are easily triggered and basically unhinged and ready to pounce at the least provocation. The inability to accept responsibility and to apologize is at the crux of so many assaults and murders. The need for emotional intelligence and de escalation education is needed all around.

My adult children have professional careers and spouses but they have chosen not to have children because of the level of self-sacrifice they would have to make in order to raise them properly with good cognitive-emotional balance in mental/physical health and well-being, which takes tons of face-to-face interaction in the child-parental unit relationship. It does not take long in looking at the statistics to see that parents who are in an arrested state of development themselves model childish immature behavior to future generations. I literally cringe whenever spoiled rotten children with thin skins and no coping skills become frustrated adults and have other spoiled rotten children with frustrations of their own. In my opinion this is how entitled "Karens" and "Kens" are raised. Other people have difficulty dealing with them and holding them accountable. Karens/Kens are adept at turning tables to make themselves out to be the perpetually vulnerable-grandiose narcissistic victims in never-ending complaints. By accommodating her daughter's wishes, Sara's own biological mother aided and abetted poor decision-making that led to her daughter's self-destruction.

    1. With a helmet on and while riding a motorcycle you need to yell to convey a message. You DO need to "yell aggressively" and you DO need to make a driver aware that they could have killed someone
    2. A "minor fender bender" on a motorcycle could be fatal. There aren't minor fender benders on a motorcycle. Farings are expensive to replace and paint. More than repairing a small dent on a car.
    3. Of course they had to follow her, it's physically not possible to write down a plate number while riding a motorcycle.

Dr Grande is missing a main point here Sara was using a deadly weapon from the very get-go of the situation. Confronting an motorcyclist with an automobile it's like confronting a unarmed man with machine gun. Car against motorcycle is always a use of a deadly force and apparently Dr Grande is not aware of it. When a car driver deliberately collides with a motorcyclist it should be always considered as attempted murder by simple laws of physics. Dr Grande judging this traffic accident as minor just by the results of it is example of his serious lack of his insight in this case. They think it makes them powerful but a lot of times, lands them in jail or prison. They let the power go to their head. Some are taught correctly and know when to use it. My son will be 14 when he gets his black belt in both Karate n Taekwondo. He can really harm someone, break a rib with one kick, disarm a person with a weapon, and much more but if taught restraint n not to go beyond what is needed to defend. Not keep harming if the person has stopped or retreating.

@user-ho2mj5wo7j in the US the fear of others snapping have lead to everybody going around with an handgun in their pocket so now each time somebody snaps innocent people risk their lives for the most futile reasons.
I mean, being scared and getting hungry are very common human emotions and both can lead an otherwise reasonable person to become irrational and aggressive. So the worst thing to do is allowing common people to bear arms in the street.
The main problem in this case is not fear or anger. The laws about firearms you have in the US are the main factor I consider responsible for this killing.

But I dont understand why she exited her home, a safe space where she could call the cops and wait, just to point her gun at the men who waited on the street. That was the defining point of no return. Nothing was ideal here, but that was the tipping point.

  • @BigBobzilla69420
    @BigBobzilla69420 11 месяцев назад +22

    1. A car commits a hit and run on a MOTORCYCLIST. Not another car-but a person who is EXTREMELY vulnerable-regardless of being ‘yelled at.’ People get angry EVERY DAY about getting cut off. I’d be pissed too-in my car.
    2) She was NOT threatened just because three people are asking her to take responsibility for what she did. She could have called 911 instead of her mom.
    3) They waited outside and SHE confronted them. It wasn’t even like they were at her doorstep.
    4) She uses a gun to threaten them (KEEP IN MIND-SHE COULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE MULTIPLE TIMES BY NOW).
But, she decides to threaten people with a gun after committing a hit and run (whether in self-defense or not), just because someone was angry that she cut them off. It’s a MOTORCYCLIST. A tiny bump could have killed him. I’d be pissed if someone else nearly killed me adrenaline probably hit that man instantly in that situation.
Like, i’m sorry, but this woman doesn’t deserve sympathy. Her actions weren’t just irresponsible, but reckless and could have resulted in the death of the motorcyclist (by hitting him and threatening him with a gun).
OH, also, watching many accident videos involving motorcyclists and observing how random motorcyclists tend to ride together (first hand observation and speaking to friends who ride motorcycles)-they simply have a weird culture of standing up for each other and sharing their uniform love of bikes.
FYI: I greatly disliked motorcycles until I started acknowledging a moment like this. ALSO, when in traffic (here in California where lane splitting is legal), it pisses me off that they lane split, but the can-it’s the law. So, with that said, it’s even regular for cars to move slightly over in the lane (when in very slow traffic). Some people, I assume, do it to protect their cars. Others, probably do it for the safety or for courtesy to the bikers. I prioritize their safety, but protect our vehicles is cool too so that’s a bonus.

Should this involve following them to their home? Hard to say... but certainly had I witnessed such a thing I would have followed the car to see where they stopped next. I would not have approached but would certainly have called 911 at my first opportunity to get the police involved.
Where this all goes pear shaped for the gal is that she had no business coming out of her home with a handgun if she was no longer under any threat.
This looks like a dominance thing on her part... from the very beginning. I've seen my share of automobile drivers getting pissed off because a motorcycle could do something they could not. File that under the category "Crazy but true".

Sarah exited her house with her gun as a matter of pride.
A scared or threatened person would not do this.
She felt these men had got one over on her, that she had lost the battle. These 3 men had formed an allegiance, and Sarah felt insulted. There was no escaping the fact that the confrontation on the road was going to cost her money, and perhaps a caution or charge.
So, she took her gun outside to reclaim some of her power.
Stupidly, she pointed a gun without the intent to kill.

From what I’m hearing, Andrew didn’t “pursue” Sarah, he followed her. After an accident, exchanging drivers information is required, and reasonable. Expecting a motorcyclist to try to remember a tag number to give to the police and simply pull over there and wait, while the hit and run driver leaves the scene is not reasonable. I can’t imagine any driver of a car or motorcycle doing that. Once Sarah got to her house, the trio waited on the roadside for the police to arrive. No violence occurred until Sarah came out of her house brandishing a hand gun and pointing it at Andrew.

Your response is to ram the motorcycle with your vehicle that’s assault with the deadly weapon then you refuse to stop to exchange information you go home they follow you home, you go inside instead of calling the cops and waiting for them to show up you come outside with a gun who was truly the aggressor in this case

I'm too lazy to research whether this is true at the specific libraries she worked at, and this doesn't excuse her actions or the outcome, but Dr. Grande's comment about what she has to put up with as a librarian definitely seems to be an assumption based on the traditional role of a librarian.

6,084 motorcyclists died in crashes in the US in 2021. Many more were injured, with some paralyzed for life. Many of these crashes involved cars or trucks. It is notorious how many drivers seem oblivious to where motorcycles are, and often cut them off. My point here is that an aggressive driver in a car presents a clear and present danger to a more vulnerable motorcyclist. I cannot fault this man for reacting to a life-threatening situation, first with the car (which legally is classified as a "deadly weapon") and then with the gun. Dr. Grande, please do not trivialize this accident. Although the damage was minor and the bike did not go down, it so easily could have been catastrophic. As I see it, Sara was the principle aggressor, and she was guilty of a hit-and-run, as well as threatening with a gun. It's a pity that she died, but she brought it upon herself with her actions.

I don't agree with you completely on this one. First, him yelling at her and being angry after she cut him off is a reaction many people would have, especially if he avoided collision only by his fast reaction and unsafe maneuver. He probably felt he needed to teach her lesson so she is more careful in the future.
The other two followed her for solidarity which is common among motorcyclists and also they probably felt like injustice has been made. If his cause of anger was unjustified, they probably wouldn't even interfere there. Instead, they wanted to be witnesses.
At the end, if they both hadn't had guns, as in most civilised countries would probably be the case, nothing major would have happened!

I avoided any problems by driving around until the people following gave up a drive in a different direction. One time I didn’t have the time for a game of cat and mouse so I asked my husband to step outside with his 357. It was down by his side and slightly concealed but he is a big man. They quickly turned around. A couple of times I made a simple driving mistake but boy were those people pissed. The worst one was when I pulled onto the highway and a beta boi in pos sedan swerved dramatically into me, 3x’s. I did not have time to call 911. Luckily I was not driving a shitty little car and was able to accelerate away. But, it was very frightening.

your analysis is quite a bit off.Sarah is much more to blame for these events than Andrew. Sarah chose to exit her house and escalate to deadly force. she also took every opportunity to escalate and was the initial aggressor. a fearful person would not act so aggressively and hostile. of course andrew wanted to confront sarah, she hit him with her vehicle and didnt stop. the entire situation was guided by sarah and ultimately led to her death.

I'm coming from the point of view of a life-long motorcyclist. Andrew may not have reacted to the previous 10 people who cut him off in traffic, and Sarah cutting him off may have been the last straw. Did he pursue her, or follow her? There's a difference. And he may have wanted to hang onto the two witnesses. Without their eyewitness testimony, it's a he said, she said situation. While I normally agree with Todd's analysis, in this case, I think considerable nuance was missed. Many of us have given up riding in traffic as driver distraction and aggression has increased over the years. The situation is still tragic, and both parties bear some responsibility, but Sarah would be alive if she had remained in her house and waited for the police.

Her actions does not reflect the actions of a 5 month prenant librarian let alone a normal, logicall pregnant woman would. The BABY, her BABY would have been a true mothers priority over her own life or ego. A tragedy that she lost her life, but without my doctorate, in my opinion she is 90% responsible for this whole incident that led to her demise. Also, the fact that her 5 month pregnancy can not be proven by autopsy=miracle? If you’ve ever watched road rage videos on RUclips, it’s WILD how many people will stop their cars in the middle of a busy road and get out and start trying to fight someone 😮 it is insane and ridiculous and to imagine lots of these people surely have guns and can’t even handle their rage during a simple drive - it’s truly scary. People make mistakes when driving, we all do it. Some more than others. You just gotta let it go. And if someone hits you you stop and you call the police. She probably kept driving bc she was scared. She shouldn’t have driven home tho. If you think someone is following you and you’re scared, don’t go home. Don’t get your gun unless someone is about to actually kill you. This guy could have hit her daughter. This is insane.

The motorbike collision, who yelled at who, who felt scared is totally irrelevant in this case. It all comes down to Sarah's decision to use a gun as a prop. Guns should never be pointed at someone just to scare them or make a point. In doing so you've just threatened a person's life and they have every right to pre-emptively shoot you first.
Andrew had a concealed carry permit which indicates he had an excellent understanding and respect for his weapon and its capabilities.
Sarah calling her mother so she could have her finances firearm ready to level threats suggests Sarah's maturity and familiarity towards guns was lacking.

Have you never seen a car accident before? Almost everyone who was present when it happens pulls over and the man was angry BECAUSE SHE TRIED TO HIT HIM.
Why did she walk outside with a gun? Because she knows she committed a crime and was trying to make them leave so she wouldn't have to deal with the consequences of her crimes period.
