I think something that CG needs to address is the massive gear crunch that is crushing F2P players. Especially stun guns. With the dozens of characters we need to take to r5+, and our GET eaten by malak, GAS and GET2 by negotiator, our farming for gear along with shards become a massive crunch to where getting one of these GL's takes 6+ months of planning, farming ,etc. And that's if you already had some of the characters g12+. I just barely finished farming GAS, and I'm almost done with getting malak to 7*. Looking at 4 possible GL after all of that, and so many teams unfinished that are necessary for other parts of the game like Geos, the task before me is daunting. Do I focus on one of the GL's and farming them, or do I focus on those extra teams I need (gas team, geos, NS) to g13 and screw being relevant in arena for a year?
Great video, Ahnald! You definitely make very informative videos for the whole community! Yeah, SLKR and Rey are getting easier to counter now and that's a good thing, IMO, in terms of balance for the game and just easing the frustration with how strong they are. Makes GAC and TW less of a nightmare now.

My stormtrooper is now a relic 5. Your Gary won't be alone soon. I've got him set with full defense mods, 4 protection primaries. 108k protection and 71.8% defense, and that's before his bonus from Empire allies. It's great.
I hate GLs. They always ruin my guild’s TW experience. We literally have zero chance against them. We are working on F2P counters, however, they are not easily accessible. Thank you for sharing these teams so hopefully we can actually have a chance against GLs one day.

Yeah i dont have jkl so kylos pretty hard to counter. Dont have rebels geared up either, but even if I did, that one kinda sucks cause u gotta break the CLS team (important counter for gas and many others)

I knew what you meant! It’s definitely interesting. They’ve done it in the past for other characters. Like Jedi Revan was hard coded to ALWAYS go after Traya first.
What gives me hope is that like they said, the galactic legends will all ever about the same power. Then I only need one to do well in squad arena, and don’t need to brand new one, I can take my time as even a newish f2p player.

Is there a counter for Kylo that doesn’t include paywall characters? My heart just sinks seeing the only way to beat him is with GAS or Luke and I’m being plagued with bad drops for the Anakin ship and for shaak.
im guessing the way kylo and the sith trooper avoid aoe and hit fives is meant to be a counter to the fives sacrifice meta. that way someone cant make a team with a weak arc trooper for an easy sacrifice with gas

I made a counter with Vader inspired by your team using Thrawn, Cherry, Probe Droid and Wat but have huge issues against any GL Rey team that deploy with JKR. What's your experience against GL Rey shipped with JKR and do you have any tips for fighting them?
So I'm seeing this team a lot on defense, Rey, Jedi Revan, Hoda, gk, gas or wat. Problem I have is what to do with JR. I have a r7 Vader but g12 thrawn and g12 shore and g12 Treya. I'm working on gearing up my Vader Rey counter team but in the meantime I'm struggling with marked from JR. Recommendations?
You can beat almost any SLKR team with DR, Malak, BSF, Thrawn, and Trooper. The advantage of that team is that you don't have to break up other teams to run it, so it's way better for GAC/TW. If you can make BSF faster than DR, you can even take out 2-tank SLKR teams. Video with the strategy on my channel.
how does Palp lead, vader, piett, shore, and prob handle rey? I was wondering if vader could be boosted enough to let you leave out thrawn and wat for other teams
they don't want to use their other abilities because they are programmed to go after certain units in the game. so they wont do anything else until they defeat the hero

Bare minimum - Veers unique. Rest is optional. If you have Piett his zeta on his special ability is nice and unique is good too. But the bare minimum to have fun is just Veers.

As i am someone with a GL Kylo, dont do it. About half of his skills dont work. Just go for a GAS. Seriously, stun with his 2nd ability should be unavoidable and removable right? Works only about every 3 out of 5 uses. had even a case where it was removed with dispelling debuffs from Chirrut. getting 40 syphons upon inflicting crit damage? be lucky if you get even syphons with the ability. seriously, having "invested" in this GL sheit is just about the dumbest thing i did in SWGOH, and I had both Revans on Day 1, if you understand. And now the Grand Admiral even has multiple (easy to get)counters, thanks life I hate you. Good work as always from the imperial command center!

I agree with you 100% but unfortunately they won't as that is one major way of how they make their money. It is like that on purpose it seems like.
Even if you have these ressources freed up to use and being at a high gp level these GL's take 6 months :D

If you have guard on GS, he never even drops prot up. Found it way more useful than having it on 5s

Using GAS Kylo counter today, Kylo didn't focus fives - instead is second turn was an AOE that took out Chewie in one blow :-(

Thanks Ahnald, these counters work. But I gotta say, check mods before you use them, higher end players are modding against these counters.

Any pre-taunt tank will do. Just be aware they just won’t be as good as Shoretrooper in this lineup

CG need to fix the Fives issue. It's ridiculous that he doesn't once use his AoE.
I still have a hard time with an extremely high tenacity Rey. When Galactic Rey has almost 200% tenacity it negates the Darth Vader counter
What mods you need for Barris? I just tried that team and it gave Barris the guard.

Yea, there should be like more divisions.
Example: diamond 4-4.99 million
Platinum 5-5.99 million etc.
