You got it :) Watch for them in the next few Wednesday videos. Since I am on tour, I am doing pointe shoe hacks with professionals at the companies I'm visiting :)
I have to say I find all of these pointe shoe hack videos so interesting as although I haven’t taken a ballet class since I was about 5, I now play clarinet, and in a sense going through reeds is like going through shoes. Like if it’s competition season, I’ll go through a reed per week, and at other times a reed per month. Same with the customisation. People don’t realise it but you can really customise your reeds to suit you.
I just got my very first pair of PIONTE shoes!!!!!!! I got Bloch! Yesterday was my very first class ever it was awesome I mean it wasn’t the best feeling thing but I still loved it!!!!! Dance is my life. You help me sooo much with all your wonderful videos!!!! Love ya so much!!!
I got fitted for my first pair of pointe shoes today, and I new a lot of the stuff just by watching these videos. I am so excited to dance in them. (I got russian pointe) 😄😄😊
Mainly for stability. Some girls prefer suede tips on the platform. Satin is very slippery. Slippery shoes + slippery studio floor = a really bad day. Even suede can be slippery. I fell right on my backside when practicing a turn.
I darn mine because: 1. adds traction 2. adds grip 3. helps with finding balance and widens the platform (i do chunky very very chunky round outside) 4. helps platform last longer 5. just feels right lol
I’m only on my first pair of pointe shoes but they don’t fit. They are currently dead and I’m taking a little pointe this summer. Please help me find the right shoe
I have never taken a ballet lesson, but I just love these videos. More pointe shoe hacks please 😀😀😀

Hi! Might be a stupid question by why do some dancers darn their shoes?
Terpsi V not a stupid question ☺️ for stability and longevity
For stability, friction, and balance 😊 it’s not a stupid question at all

It'll be difficult without actually seeing your feet but what are some general problems you're having?
