It's the same in Korean too.. after every word, you put a space.. the only difference in English and Korean writing is that in English, we write the word from left to right which does not specify how many syllables are there in the word but in Korean, the syllables are placed in "boxes" (though it is written from left to write, if a syllable has a batchim, then the word structure would be left-right-down..) that's the only difference.. the spacing is same

'에요/예요'는 형식적인 문서에서 쓸일이 거의 없고 편하게 문자나 톡할때만 써서그런지 발음그대로 '에요'라고 쓰게되는것같네요... 저도그렇고 대부분 '예요'라고 쓰는사람을 못본것같고, 오히려 '예요'라고 쓰면 뭔가 형식적인 느낌나버려서 이상하고;
