This video was personally really interesting and helpful. Thank you for spending your time to make it. I have a question. I am very interested in becoming a psychiatrist, but something that kinda bothers me is not having time to raise a family, because it does take a lot of time to get there. Would you say you have time for any of your personal life both while being at uni and now at work?

Thank you for your insightful comment! That’s a great question, and yes while there is a lot of effort and sacrifice that is involved, there is time for personal life. It’s important to take that time to work effectively as well. There’s also a nice reminder that with God, all things are possible

Thanks for sharing. I'm a psychiatrist looking to start a private practice. I am in need of some guidance and wonder if you wouldn't mind helping. Thanks.

Hello, I am interested in becoming either a Psychiatrist or Neurologist I wanted to know if there is any way these two specialties can be blended in residency ?? Maybe like Neurology residency and psych fellowship?

There is psych residency with neurology fellowship, or a combined neurology/psychiatry residency

How hard is it to start a private practice and get clients to come to you? Do you have to do advertising or is there just so much need?

My suggestion is specialize in female adhd or all the ocd's, something you're passionate about that will catch private clients. They usually want someone specific who is trained in one or 2 things, rather than someone who know's a little of all. Cash payers have higher standards and might be burnt out of their doctors office general psychs, they want quality care and someone who is going to conferences and giving speeches. It helps if they google your name and articles come up that you wrote for magazines or blogs. Best of luck

    Hey bro,
are you credentialed or do cash pay with out of network reimbursement.
What do you feel is a feasible panel size?
Have you thought about hiring a mid-level and paying them a percentage off reimbursement?
I appreciate the transparency. Could you talk about your overhead and monthly net?

These are great questions! I am credentialed with most major insurances but also see patients who pay without insurance. I’m not comfortable at this time talking about overhead and monthly net, etc. but at this time the business is profitable
