You’re still a “junior doctor” until you make consultant. But, the truth of the matter is you’re not really a fully competent physician until you have been a consultant for many years. I’m about to retire and it’s only now that I can appreciate how little I know about medicine and life in general. I really do envy you and the amazing journey that you’re about to undertake. I would give anything to do it all over again.
Surina, I am loving your videos! Also, you have a marvelous RP, you might want to cooperate with not just top doctor RUclipsrs, but also British English teacher RUclipsrs :-) Don't give up, we are always here waiting for your videos!
Absolutely one of a wholesome information one can get in one place. This channel is soon going to skyrocket no doubt. Soon looking to work in UK?.. Keep. Infos coming. Bth why did you move to Australia.
I don't know too much about that process and haven't looked in to it yet! Will do if I ever do but in general, will require quite a few years of non-training jobs before you can get on to a training programme.
@@drsurinataneja hi Doc :) thank you for your reply! I understand how we detect the virus through PCR. What I’m confused about is how we know each case of sickness has been _caused_ by the virus. To me it doesn’t seem at all scientific to just assume that the association of something means it is the cause. How do we know the virus was the cause of each person’s sickness?
@@taliahjefferson4966 correct. That’s why I was asking a doctor about how a particular disease is diagnosed, rather than a scientist. When I said “each” case, I meant, how is it decided that a person’s disease has been caused by this virus. Ie, if I’m sick and I go to a doctor, what is the standard investigation or medical examination performed to establish the cause of my sickness? Since asking this question, I’ve learned that with this particular disease, all that is required to diagnose is simply the detection of one particular virus. That’s it. No clinical investigation into the symptomology required. No process of elimination of other possible factors performed. I wouldn’t actually need to see a doctor in the first place to be diagnosed with this particular sickness. In fact, I wouldn’t even need to have any signs of sickness to be diagnosed with this particular sickness. All that is required is a little red line on a viral load tool, and I either then have this deadly disease, or I don’t… which is strange, because PCR is a viral load tool, a very useful piece of equipment, but it is not diagnostic, as it cannot tell me if I’m sick; how sick I may be or what _caused_ my sickness. Yet, we are using this to diagnose a deadly disease, during a pandemic. This just doesn’t make any sense to me at all.
Hi Doctor, I studied MBBS and graduated in 2017 from China. after that I did not go back to my country and work in any hospital due to financial problems. now in 2022, I am thinking to pass AMC(Australian medical council exam) and move to Australia to work as a doctor. I want to ask after passing AMC 1 + English exam, will I be able to secure a job ? or they dont accept doctor with 5 years gap. any advice how to overcome this problem and get a job in Australia after passing AMC? THANKS.
Hey nices informative videos. Any idea on after passing masters in India n passing royal exams of uk.And with gmc registration but without CCT one can get job of specialist in ausy
What do you call your GP then? Being pedantic over a title is a bit silly considering when everybody hears the word "doctor" they think of a medical professional, not someone with a PhD
@@skiddlybap4260 Nowadays I call them Physician or Mr or Mrs or Ms or if I know their Christian name, I use that. Now when you say "everybody" or most people, its because they do not know the facts, so they just use Doctor. Most people who have not had a higher education do not know the difference between a Diploma, Bachelors, Masters, lower Doctorate and Higher doctorate. I am particular angry at people who attend Oxford or Cambridge. They study for three years and get a BA. When 25, they put their BA in an envelope with a small fee, send it to their college and get an MA by return post. No exams, no research, no 30,000 word dissertation, no presentation, no interogation on their dissertation. They can lie for the rest of their lives about their achievement. Likewise medical professionals who do not have a doctorate and yet go around using the title Dr. Why am I so sensitive about this? Its because I have an M.Sc but worked very hard for it. I also teach, but I dont go around using a DR title. So Medics and Oxbridge graduates are bloody LIARS.

I don't know too much about that process and haven't looked in to it yet! Will do if I ever do but in general, will require quite a few years of non-training jobs before you can get on to a training programme.

Hi Doc :) I have a question. I’m confused about the case numbers of Covid. How do we know that this virus is the cause of this respiratory illness?
We send respiratory secretion samples (from nose/throat) to the lab for PCR testing

MRCS not recognised in Aus, they have separate exams. Probably easier to come post CCT here
Hey Surina..... what's your qualifications..?
MBBS BSc
hello ma am just curious why did you leave nhs ? and decided to move ?
Video answering this on my channel :) ruclips.net/video/vnjaYB9iSWM/видео.html
You are NOT a Doctor (which means teacher). You have an MBBS degree NOT an MD or PhD.
Oh. Will just let all the hospitals know then...

Oh and by the way. In other countries eg Germany, if you use the title Dr without having a doctorate you can be prosecuted, thrown in prison.
@@nosnibor800 You do seem a bit angry about this but my checking proves you are right. Maybe Surina should call herself a Physician not a Doctor!!
