  • Faux Cloisonne pendant using just Premo Pearl clay and lots of alcohol inks mixed with resin. Such a fun project but a little time consuming. I put the piece under the resin lamp after every color so that if I "goofed" on a color, I could easily wipe it off without compromising any other color.
    Hope you like it.

This is a cool great idea Irene. It is interesting to see how ink mixed with resin worked. I've seen someone paint clay with just the ink and then seal it and it seemed to work well, probably a bit risky for having the ink run and one would probably have to let each color dry in between . Thanks so much for sharing it with us. 💗

  • @KellyBellcambridgegiftsbykelly

I enjoy your videos. Thank you. Try mixing mica powder with the resin instead of the ink. Colors will be truer I think.

Try laying the clay on top of the texture mat. Sprits surface with water so it won’t lift up. Your fingertips will tell you if the impression is good.

I did this about a year ago. I put the flat wire on the design before baking. I found a fantastic enamel that is like mica powder. I loved using it and then I baked it all the one time. I can send you some pics if you like. Yours is beautiful too! ❤

Hey! Really like your style and approach!
    You have excellent taste.
I was watching and thinking about how you could get your gold onto the desired raised edges with your roll pattern.
You could paint the whole stamp, and the either place it face down on a wet wipe and drag it across.
Or use a wipe with a fine point to remove the undesirable spots.
Just brainstorming. You do an excellent job with out it though!

Have you tried EF Color brand enamels? I've not experimented with them much but they work well baking on polymer clay and have an enamel (glass) look. They are powders (similar to real glass enamels) and come in many colors. They bake in the oven and regardless of what they might say, they do work on polymer clay with typical baking times. With that said, I think your technique with the colored resin is MUCH easier. I had a real hard time controlling the powdered EF Color resin.

How about warming the white clay to make it softer then do the impression and texturing. Then put all in reefer or freezer for a while to make it harder. Then remove the texturing material and impression plate. Hopefully all come apart leaving a very good impression on the white clay. Just a thought. I'm sure you will figure all out and end up with a great product. Thanks for sharing your videos.

When you’re working with the ink you have to add a little bit more to resin if you want to see the color being a little more deep

    • @TheCreativeDork5
      @TheCreativeDork5  Год назад

Really? It seemed the more resin I added, the lighter it became. Wonder why it would get darker adding a clear substance...

    • @TheCreativeDork5

Yes I have but for a pendant, it's too thin and if I added a thicker base to it, it would probably mess up the pattern. Going to make it again with earrings and run it through the machine.
