Some shit has changed. It now costs about 125 bucks to max a build that won't have the attributes to get the meta shooting base that comes out in a season or two after you spend the money, thus making your current 125 dollar build worthless.
Honestly I enjoy 2k but I’m really skeptical this year cause I’m just tired of getting my build nerfed every season. But the gameplay has to match the build man along with the latency and other things they gotta fix. Still leaning to not getting it till proven otherwise # do ya thang

I buy 2K every single year and I have a love hate relationship with it. They could make the game so much better on launch if they simply added a demo to the game with the builder. They can get feedback from the community about what needs to be fixed and adjust accordingly before the release. It would save people a lot of money with builds so they don’t have to make so many builds because there’s 15 patches before October is over.

The offline modes of 2k like MyNBA is amazing and thats what i exclusively play. 2k at least as of recent sports games, has the most in depth franchose mode. You can literally play from 1984 with real rosters on MyNBA.
It's 375k vc to max out a build in 2k24, but in 2k23, it was 450k+ vc, so I hope they lower the amount of vc needed to upgrade builds again in 2k25 I hope it's like 200k vc to max out a build.
Its to many great games coming this fall. Dragonball sparking zero, undisputed boxing, etc. 2k player base might take a hit if them vc prices are to high!
What people fail to realize is that you can’t change much about 2k. 2k is 2k it’s always gonna be basketball, they make it unrealistic people complain, they make it realistic people complain, they make a mixture of both people complain. They buff defense one year people complain, they buff offense one year people complain. They make it completely fair and people will complain that people try too hard or people cheat simply based on talent levels of certain players compared to others. They came out with a great game last year and kept changing everything. So until we're like 3 or 4 months in already, I can't really say. Do I have fun playing? Sure, but because I play with friends a lot. But probably 2/3 of 2K24 I was frustrated with the game. Even when I was playing well. How you don't fix a bug that's visible every game for months? (trees in the rec/camera not setting properly on free-throws after a timeout/not being able to see your team lineup and matchup because someone's getting kicked/etc) So I'm waiting to share any opinions lol

That's cap it depends on the build. A build that can dunk and shoot is going to run you over 400k in 24
