AH isn’t that bad of a game as people make it seem, it just breaks the typical ace combat formula. But AH is really good by itself and Project Aces clearly love it, going as far as talking very positively about it in interviews. I think it deserves respect.
Assault Horizon is only broken in the gameplay mechanics imo, esp with the TGT_LEADs that only die upon scripted point, which also included Akula's final appearance.
In contrast with Illich, even though it's DFM-laden it kinda feels less scripted (though do correct me)
Outside of it even with DFM it's still a good game, not up to par with the trilogy but still is. Also don't forget the OST.
to be fair, this game quiet a signal that Project Aces want to do something new.
Anddd I must say that this game is quiet okay on its own.

AH was the first Ace Combat I ever played, and I loved it.
Having played 6 and 7 afterwards, I can understand why people hate AH but I can't because it introduced me to the series

Note for everyone hyped for the Nagase F-2A skin: It will not include Nagase in Bikini, so don't get your hopes up thinking you'll be able to "distract" enemies in PvP
That's why I'm slightly disappointed there

1,070,000 copies of AH were sold in the first 7 months of it's release? For a game that gets quite a bit of flak, that's pretty good.
I really can’t hate Assault Horizon anymore. With AC back on track thanks to 7 I can no longer blame AH for killing the series.

Horizon was not a good AC game... but it was fun, and i will be lying if i say that i didn't had a blast playing it.

Ace Combat Assault Horizon’s was one of the games that introduced me to the franchise, although not the best out of all of them I applaud this game for atleast letting me know such a amazing series exists.
Y'know, even if it's not the best in the series, I'm glad this game exists.

It wasn't Strangereal, but it was definitely a heck of an Ace Combat game! Still having fun in Skies Unknown, and hopefully beyond.
I was replaying the DLC and I heard one of the Erusean pilots say, "Fight hard, we're the last generation of fighter pilots." Gives me all sorts of feels hearing that.

May be no best game ever, but this on both PC and PS3 revived my love for Ace Combat! Recoloring skins is probably what I miss the most!

What devs can't do, the fanbase will.
Unpopular opinion, but Assault Horizon was a pretty fire game for that time. I loved the carnage and damage models in it. Shame those effects didnt make it into AC7.

Least it had color customization, reflective mirrors, "detailed reAl world environments" better Replay Viewer quality..
The only nitpick i have for the release of nagase skin in cutting edge dlc is that they remove the fanservice feature

It's time for the next Assault Horizon skins to make their way to Ace Combat 7, including skins for European fighters.
It does not hurt to introduce the F-35B, F-16F, Su-24 and Su-25TM fighters debuting in ACAH.

@@feston4032 The F-35A made its debut in the Ace Combat Infinity alongside the F-35B. But the F-35A and F-35B should join the AC7, which should please Japanese fans of the series especially for three reasons.
1. The F-35A already serves in the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, and soon it will be joined by the F-35B, which will also be used by the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force
2. F-35B with VMFA-242 "Bats" recently landed on the ship "JS Izumo", which means the return of Japan to countries with their own aircraft carriers
3. The F-35A for Japan is produced at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries factory in Nagoya.

The default livery in ACAH had Warwolf low-vis emblems, USAF wing marking and the 108th squadron tailcode, which is what Urvogel recreated on the first skin.
You can apply any emblem in either default osea or Erusea skin
They should make a new acah ...

I remember playing multiplayer as a kid and always trying to get squad lead just so I could be Galm 1. And the co op campaign was a great feature where each person just took control of a member of Warwolf and they had appropriate lines when during dogfights. It was awesome.
