    You have clearly never had a panic attack before. With all due respect these tips might help for minor anxiety and nervousness. These tips will do nothing for someone having a panic attack people with panic attacks literally think they are going to die , have a heart attack or go crazy. Psychoéducation into understanding that no matter how bad the panic attack is it can never kill you or make you go "crazy" is what people need to hear. They need to let the adrenaline wash over them time and time again as it spikes, and accept all of these horrible symptoms and thoughts as eventually the adrenaline starts to slow down they finally realize no harm has come to them and the nervous system is finding balance again. No ice or fizzy water will stop someone having a full blown panic attack where they literally think that they are going to die. Only someone who has gone through panic attacks will understand this. They will just have to sit though that awful feeling and yet again see that they come to no harm as awful as it is and as horrible panic attacks are no one can die or have a heart attack due to a panic attack. This is what people need to know when getting into a plane if they struggle with panic attacks.

      Thank you. You totally get it. I got three trains home from Spain in 2019. I never want to feel like that again in my life. I havent flown since. Its not that I think it's gonna crash. It's the confinement and the intense situation at 30,000 feet in a tin can with wings with gallons of petrol attached in the open air. It's actually the fear of the panic which is terrifying. I honestly thought I was going to lose it and be crawling over people's head shouting "this plane needs to land NOW IM CRAAAZY!!!" which didn't happen but it traumatised me. It makes me so sad as I'm learning Spanish.

    when i get anxious i get nauseous so sparkling water would personally make it a lot worse

      Bloated makes me anxious! But water definitely helps. However, I find out better being with empty stomach or very light food before any activity I find can make myself anxious.

    LAUGHING Really helps. It controls anxiety better by taking the focus off the symptoms/event and onto something else and laughing is a natural anti-stress antidote. If you can conjure up things that are hilarious to you or watch, stand up or those people falling videos, it will definitely help I know it’s the last thing you feel like doing but give it a try. I struggle with anxiety, especially getting on an airplane!!

    Any uncontrollable travel where I can’t move too much or go outside, gets me really anxious. I try to sip on cold water when I start feeling it, and then over some time it goes away and I feel fine again.

    Also guys breathing in slowly thru the nose and out slowly thru the mouth works wonders, apparently it’s the number one best thing to work and other s is like distraction, reading, game on a fone etc

      Often, When I do this I just get lightheaded and then my lungs feel warm and I panic more.

    Fear of flying is normal and valid. Imagine the number of people who didn’t have a fear of flying who actually died in plane crashes.

    Water isn’t going to help take about 6 shots of whatever alcohol you like and you’ll instantly feel better I have panic attack medication like Xanax and that does not even help what helps for me is drinking after those shots are in I’m looking out the window happy 24/7
